Sean Spicer Skips Over Reporter Who Asks Him to Call On New York Times
During today’s White House press briefing — which was delayed by more than an hour and featured OMB Director Mick Mulvaney taking questions first — White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was pressed quite a bit by reporters on President Donald Trump’s unproven wiretap claims.
Following a number of contentious exchanges, Spicer called on RealClearPolitics reporter Alexis Simendinger, who instead wanted to pass her question off to another outlet — the New York Times.
While there was some hushed laughter in the room, Spicer definitely did not appear amused.
“I actually call the questions, Alexis,” Spicer said. “If you don’t want to ask the question, I can call on somebody else. Thank you.”
And with that, Spicer moved on to another reporter.
