Report: Sean Hannity Once Pointed a Gun at Juan Williams

hannitywilliamsedited According to a report out by CNN Money’s Dylan Byers, Fox News host Sean Hannity once pointed a gun at contributor Juan Williams following a television segment featuring the pair. Byers cites three sources with knowledge of the incident, stating that following a “spirited” on-air argument last year, Hannity pulled out the gun and turned on the laser sight. The red dot was seen on Williams body. The article does note that the sources said the conservative commentator was “just showing off.”) It is also noted that the incident was brought up to Fox News executives. A spokesperson for the network told CNN Money that it had been referred to legal and human resources. The spokesperson also supplied CNN Money with statements from Williams and Hannity regarding the incident. Per Williams, the “incident is being sensationalized — everything was under total control throughout and I never felt like was put in harm’s way.” He added that it “was clear that Sean put my safety and security above all else and we continue to be great friends.” As for Hannity, he provided the following:
“While discussing the issue of firearms, I showed my good friend Juan Williams my unloaded firearm in a professional and safe manner for educational purposes only,” Hannity’s statement read. “Every precautionary procedure that I have been trained in since the age of 11 was followed. I’ve had a conceal carry permit in five states for all of my adult life. Any other interpretation of this is outright false reporting.”

Fox News also gave a statement to the site, reiterating what Hannity said about his firearm safety training and adding the “situation was thoroughly investigated and it was found that no one was put in any danger.” This isn’t the first time Hannity was in the news today. During a contentious White House press briefing today, Hannity was cited by Sean Spicer while providing evidence to support President Donald Trump’s wiretap claims, leading to a combative exchange with CNN’s Jim Acosta.
