Gamblers on Twitter Were Irate Over a Seemingly Random Basket to End the Michigan-Oklahoma St. Game

It appeared as though Oklahoma State was just going through the motions. As the final seconds ticked away, the Cowboys were down by four and about to lose their First Round NCAA Tournament game to Michigan. But Jawun Evans of Oklahoma State hoisted up a desperation 3-pointer as the clock hit triple zero, and the shot was good. “Got it at the buzzer,” said CBS announcer Jim Nantz. “But it’s one short.” Not for some gamblers. Michigan was favored to win the game by 2.5 points. The late-game three ball cut the winning margin for the Wolverines from four to one. Meaning that anyone who wagered on Michigan went from a winner to a loser with that afterthought of a shot. Many people on Twitter eveidently backed the Wolverines. Here’s a sampling. But not everyone on social media backed Michigan. The thrill of victory. The agony of defeat. Watch above, via CBS.
