CNN reports tonight that there’s a DOJ report that does not back up President Trump‘s claims on wiretapping.
The House Intelligence Committee set this Monday as a deadline for the DOJ to hand over evidence, if there was any, to back the president up. The DOJ asked for more time.
Earlier today the DOJ handed over documents to both the House and Senate Intelligence Committees.
CNN senior congressional reporter Manu Raju told Anderson Cooper tonight that a government official has told him that “there is nothing in this report that will corroborate a central claim made by the President of the United States that his predecessor, Barack Obama, had ordered wiretaps of him and spied on him during the presidential campaign.”
FBI Director James Comey is set to testify publicly next Monday.
