Atlantic Editor in Chief: ‘Not Confident’ Trump Can Handle ‘Matters of Life and Death’
In the final moments of Face the Nation, host John Dickerson brought up the subject of North Korea and Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson’s recent comments that a U.S. military strike could be on the table.
“He’s put out the idea there could be a preemptive U.S. attack on North Korea,” said Atlantic Editor in Chief Jeffrey Goldberg.” “North Korea has been a problem for decades. The crisis is generated by North Korean extremism and illogic.”
Goldberg, however, did not offer Donald Trump a vote of confidence for dealing with the reclusive Communist dictatorship — or any major crisis.
“I come back to this general conversation about the way to the Trump administration does things,” he said. “On matters of life and death, I’m not confident yet that these guys can handle a criss.”
