Jake Tapper‘s “State of the Cartoonion” focused on a rap beef this week. Earlier this week, Snoop Dogg released a music video that showed him pointing a gun at a suspiciously Donald Trump-ian clown, which led to a Trump tweet, a take from noted hip-hop scholar Marco Rubio, and Secret Service involvement. Tapper, quoting bars as he went, outlined the drama with some of his signature drawings. “This week, President Trump was attacked by a dog!” he said. “But not an actual dog. It was rapper Snoop Dogg.” Tapper pointed out that this is not unlike the “violent and racist things” Ted Nugent has said about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, before reminding viewers that Snoop and Trump used to be pretty good friends. Snoop doesn’t really need more friends, of course. He’s got bff Martha Stewart, and who else could he need? [image: screengrab] Lindsey: Twitter. Facebook.
