Spicer on Comey Hearing: People ‘Continuing to Look for Something That Doesn’t Exist’ on Russia
Press Secretary Sean Spicer reacted today to the House Intelligence Committee hearing today with testimony by FBI Director James Comey on the ongoing investigation into potential links between Russia and people connected to the Trump campaign.
Comey today confirmed that investigation and said there’s no information to back up President Trump‘s claims of wiretapping.
Spicer said today “it’s clear that nothing has changed.”
He pointed to statements from many people, including some Democrats, about how there’s no direct evidence of collusion between Team Trump and Russia. Spicer told ABC’s Jon Karl that “investigating it and having proof of it are two separate things,” and that people are “continuing to look for something that doesn’t exist.”
