Trump Takes Shot at Colin Kaepernick During Louisville Rally
President Trump took a shot at none other than Colin Kaepernick during his Louisville rally tonight.
He said he saw an article “that NFL owners don’t want to pick him up because they don’t want to get a nasty tweet from Donald Trump.” The crowd went wild.
The president added, “I said if I remember that one, I’m gonna report it to the people of Kentucky, ’cause they like it when people actually stand for the American flag.”
Trump appears to be referring to this Bleacher Report piece that featured one AFC general manager listing a few reasons teams aren’t exactly eager to bring in Kaepernick, including the following:
“Second, some teams fear the backlash from fans after getting him. They think there might be protests or [President Donald] Trump will tweet about the team. I’d say that number is around 10 percent. there’s another 10 percent that has a mix of those feelings.
The president’s speech was mostly focused on his fixes for the nation’s problems and he did not address the big House Intelligence Committee hearing today.
