‘I’m Surprised It Took This Long’: Ana Navarro Bashes Fox News, Trump After O’Reilly Departure

Wednesday on The Lead with Jake Tapper, Ana Navarro weighed in on the news that has rocked the media world — Bill O’Reilly‘s departure from Fox News. “I’m surprised it took this long,” Navarro said, questioning how much kudos Fox News should receive for parting ways with O’Reilly after advertisers fled the show en masse. “I’m glad that Fox News finally made this decision and took this step,” Navarro said. “But I’m not sure how much congratulations they are due after so many years and so many million dollars.” The CNN analyst also took the opportunity to criticize President Trump for backing O’Reilly in a recent New York Times interview. “I think President Trump needs to learn that he doesn’t have to comment on everything,” Navarro said. “He is President. He’s not a commentator. And when he gets asked about sexual harassment––if no other topic, that one he leave the hell alone.” Watch above, via CNN.
