Once again, President Donald Trump is blasting the media over its portrayal of crowd sizes.
LACKING CONTEXT: New England Patriots calls out NYT for side-by-side photos of team visit to White House pic.twitter.com/RDcoYt8YZd— FOX & friends (@foxandfriends) April 20, 2017
Trump might have been watching Fox & Friends again earlier today, because on Thursday morning, the show looked at how the New England Patriots are pushing back against a New York Times photo comparison suggesting that the team was more interested in meeting Barack Obama in 2015 than Trump.
The Times eventually offered this editor’s note to their article on the ceremony:
These photos lack context. Facts: In 2015, over 40 football staff were on the stairs. In 2017, they were seated on the South Lawn. https://t.co/iIYtV0hR6Y — New England Patriots (@Patriots) April 20, 2017
An earlier version of this article included photos comparing the size of the Patriots’ gathering at the White House in 2015 and the gathering on Wednesday. The photo from Wednesday only showed players and coaches; the 2015 photo showed players, coaches and support staff and has been removed.[Image via screengrab] — —
