It ‘All Ends With This Movie’: Michael Moore Announces New Trump Doc Fahrenheit 11/9

michael-moore A poll out Tuesday finds that a plurality of voters do not believe that President Donald Trump will finish his full term in office. Documentarian Michael Moore believes his new film will be a major reason why. In a press release, it was announced that the progressive filmmaker is at work on a new project, and it has been acquired by Bob and Harvey Weinstein. The new film is called Fahrenheit 11/9, a reference both to Moore’s 2004 documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 on then-President George W. Bush, and the Nov. 9 date on which Trump declared election victory. The press release touts Moore’s track record of predicting Trump’s election victory through much of the campaign as a qualification for him to make his new film. The release adds that the project has been filmed in secret and “is expected to be key in dissolving Trump’s ‘teflon’ shield and, turn, his presidency.” “No matter what you throw at him it hasn’t worked,” Moore said in the release. “No matter what is revealed, he remains standing. Facts, reality, brains cannot beat him. Even when he commits a self-inflicted wound, he gets up the next morning and keeps going and tweeting. “That all ends with this movie.” Farhenheit 9/11 was wildly successful at the box office, as it remains the highest grossing documentary of all-time. But the movie, released in June 2004, failed to keep President Bush from winning a second term later that year. [image via screengrab] —— Follow Joe DePaolo (@joe_depaolo) on Twitter
