Journalism School Hackathon at University of North Texas

MediaShift is producing our fifth Journalism School Hackathon on the weekend of October 20-22, 2017, co-produced by the Mayborn School of Journalism at the University of North Texas (near Dallas-Fort Worth). We’re convening group of top students (graduates and undergraduates), faculty and professionals for the weekend Hackathon, with a real-world mission of creating startups in the sports and health areas. Facebook Journalism Project: Conversations, a new series, kicks off with a fireside chat featuring Pulitzer Prize winner and Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold, moderated by Facebook Head of News Partnerships Campbell Brown. The Facebook Journalism Project’s goal is to create stronger ties between Facebook and the news industry by focusing on the collaborative development of news products, training and tools for journalists, and training and tools for everyone.
