Colbert Mocks Roy Moore: The Only Place in The Mall Where Teen Girls Were Safe Was ‘Forever 21’

On Tuesday night, Stephen Colbert had some fun at the expense of GOP Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. The Late Show host informed his audience that Moore was reportedly banned from a shopping mall because he kept harassing teenage girls. “The only place in the mall the girls were safe was Forever 21… because that’s way too old for Roy Moore,” Colbert quipped. He pointed to a report that Moore was often “often well-dressed in slacks and a button-down shirt.” “Well that’s just Roy Moore’s approach to romance,” Colbert reacted. “Put on your finest slacks and go a food-courtin.'” Another report had a woman recalling when she was 14 and working as Santa’s helper in a mall that Moore told her she was pretty and two years later asked her on dates. “He hit on one of Santa’s elves?!?” Colbert shouted. “Well, a true evangelical, he’s putting Christ! back in Christmas.” Colbert then shared a commercial he “found” for the Gadsden Mall that promoted appliances, housewares, clothes, and “no Roy Moores.” “Now the only thing that’s going to sneak up and grab you… is the savings!” the commercial exclaimed. The commercial also made it clear that Santa’s elves were “armed with tasers” and that the parking lot had “Roy Moore Alert Stations” incase there were any sitings. Watch the clip above, via CBS.
