Watch Conor McGregor Issue Dare Amid Rumored Threats From Irish Mob: ‘Come and Get Me!’

Conor McGregor is not one to back down from a fight — even if that fight happens to be against the mob. According to the Irish Independent, a “well known Irish celebrity…sports star” punched a top Irish gangster during a bar fight in Dublin on Sunday. Sports Illustrated and the New York Post, among other outlets, have named McGregor in connection with the report. McGregor also posted photo of himself on Instagram after the Independent’s story was published, with a caption that said simply, “The celebrity.”

The New York Post adds, in their account, that there are threats against McGregor, as a result of the incident. But the UFC is apparently unfazed. McGregor appeared in a Dublin court Thursday morning, where he was order to pay a 400 Euro fine for a speeding ticket. After the proceeding, the mixed martial artist departed the courthouse and quickly pulled the hood of his sweatshirt up to cover his face, as a number of cameras were waiting for him outside the courthouse. McGregor kept his head down, and quickly got in his car. As McGregor drove away (at a speed which seems likely to earn him another summons), he turned to the cameras and offered a defiant message. “Come and get me!” McGregor said “Come and get me!” Watch above, via RTE.
