Gretchen Carlson Calls Out Former Fox Colleague Greta Van Susteren: You ‘Called Me a Liar’

Ex-Fox Newser Gretchen Carlson called out former colleague Greta Van Susteren on Twitter yesterday, bringing up how the latter initially reacted when the former’s allegations against Roger Ailes came out. Van Susteren tweeted criticism of ABC News’ botched report on President Trump and Michael Flynn last night: Carlson then said this: In July 2016, Van Susteren weighed in and said, “Of course, the first thing that occurred to me is that, unfortunately, we have a disgruntled employee, a colleague. I read that her show wasn’t being renewed and, being a lawyer, I thought she got angry.” Weeks later, she stood by her comments, but added, “I did not defend Roger Ailes nor did I condemn him. I just stated what I knew or did not know. Period. As an aside..of course if I had known of any sexual harassment, I would not keep quiet as I would not want other people hurt by my silence.” But in September of last year, Van Susteren did express regret for not believing Carlson sooner.
