Ed Martin (a.k.a Jeffrey Lord 2.0) was back on Anderson Cooper: 360 Thursday night. And once again, the conservative CNN contributor got into it with the host and his fellow panelists — with Roy Moore being the topic. In a heated exchange, Martin and Cooper slugged it out after Martin pleaded ignorance on a number of anti-Muslim Roy Moore statements. “Ed, how can you say you never heard him say it?!” Cooper said. Martin claimed to not be familiar with all of Moore’s quotes. Then, he said; “That’s why we have elections. And if the people of Alabama reject that — are you saying we get to vet who runs for office?” Cooper fired back. “You can be a bigot and you can get elected to Congress,” Cooper said. “It’s just a question of whether you admit the person is a bigot or not. Martin did not make that admission. “You guys think that it’s okay to pile on six weeks before an election…and claim that you know this guy’s heart and truth about him,” Martin said. “And I’m saying, let’s go to the election. And if you want to have an ethics committee hearing, and put up members of the public accusing members in the Senate of conduct, giddyup!” Watch above, via CNN.
