Veteran Fox News Reporter James Rosen is Leaving the Network

James Rosen, one of Fox News Channel’s longest serving reporters, will be departing the network. The news was first reported by TVNewser, though there were no details about the circumstances behind the Chief Washington Correspondent’s departure after 18 years. Mediaite has confirmed that Rosen is leaving Fox News, with a network spokesperson saying “James Rosen is exiting the company at the end of the year.” Rosen was thrust into prominence in 2013 when the news came out that the Obama Administration classified him as a “criminal co-conspirator” under the Espionage Act for his reporting on the State Department. The administration faced considerable blowback when it was revealed that the Justice Department tracked Rosen’s movements while also collecting his phone records and email. Rosen’s departure follows the news that Elizabeth Vargas will be leaving ABC after her own extensive career with the network. [Image via screengrab] — — Follow Ken Meyer (@KenMeyer91) on Twitter
