Jesse Watters: ‘It Seems Like Mueller’s Basically The Democrat Candidate For President’

On Friday night, Jesse Watters discussed how important he thinks Robert Mueller is to Democrats politically looking forward. Filling in for Laura Ingraham, Watters began by insisting that Democrats believe that Mueller’s investigation into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign is their “ace in the hole.” The Fox News host slammed Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) for accusing Republicans of “smearing” Mueller’s team after numerous revelations that have painted a perceived bias against President Trump. “So evidence of blatant anti-Trump bias by investigators isn’t justification for questioning the probe? You kidding me?” Watters reacted. Fox News contributor Dan Bongino agreed with Watters’ sentiment, saying that “only in the liberal bizarre fantasy land” can you not ask questions about the Mueller investigation. Watters later made this observation. “It seems like Mueller’s basically the Democrat candidate for president,” he said. “He’s the only person that can stop Donald reelection. And the Democrats are putting all their eggs in the Mueller basket and if he clears everybody else after this, they have nothing!” He went on to insist that Democrats want Trump to fire Mueller because “that’s all they talk about!” Laura Ingraham made a similar claim on Thursday night.
