On Thursday night, CNN host Don Lemon lost his cool with conservative pundit Ben Ferguson while discussing President Donald Trump‘s newly-released interview with The New York Times — and the result was a cable news shouting match for the ages. Ferguson insisted that many people feel that those who worked in the Obama administration like Hillary Clinton were given “special treatment” for actions they would have been indicted for if they were Republicans. “For example, when you clearly have top secret information on a laptop that you have on a server in the basement of your house,” Ferguson said. “And then you send those top secret classified documents to people that aren’t even cleared to see them and then you forward them to your husband, who by the way is in jail by the name of Anthony Weiner.” Lemon was furious. “Man, what does this have to do what we’re talking about?” Lemon said. “The FBI has already investigated that! They’re been a million hearings on it. It’s water under the bridge!” “No, it’s not!” Ferguson shouted back. “It’s water under the bridge for you, Don! It’s water under the bridge for you! It’s not for the rest of the people in this country!” Lemon was so frustrated that he immediately (and seemingly preemptively) cut to a commercial break. Upon returning, Lemon allowed Ferguson to have the floor as long as he didn’t “hijack” the panel again. “Listen, I don’t want to hear about Benghazi, I don’t want to hear about uranium,” Lemon told Ferguson. “It has been litigated a million times–” “Of course, because it doesn’t fit the narrative!” Ferguson shot back. “It’s irrelevant!” Lemon exclaimed.
