Another day, another President Trump tweet, another reminder that the Russia investigations are nothing but a “witch hunt.”
The investigations seem to weighing on the president’s mind today since he has attacked Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) for releasing the transcripts from Glenn Simpson‘s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The single greatest Witch Hunt in American history continues. There was no collusion, everybody including the Dems knows there was no collusion, & yet on and on it goes. Russia & the world is laughing at the stupidity they are witnessing. Republicans should finally take control!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 10, 2018
Simpson is one of Fusion GPS’s co-founders, and his interview about Christopher Steele‘s infamous dossier revealed a plethora of noteworthy details about possible connections between the Trump campaign and Russia. Even though Trump defenders frequently blame the dossier for the investigations hovering over the White House, recent reports suggest that former Trump aide George Papadopoulos set events in motion by going on a drunken monologue about Russian blackmail on Hillary Clinton. The fact that Sneaky Dianne Feinstein, who has on numerous occasions stated that collusion between Trump/Russia has not been found, would release testimony in such an underhanded and possibly illegal way, totally without authorization, is a disgrace. Must have tough Primary! — Donald J. Trump January 10, 2018
