Trump on Whether He’ll Sit Down With Mueller: ‘We’ll See What Happens’

President Donald Trump held a joint press conference this afternoon with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, which produced this gem, in which a journalist asked about a forthcoming “big ass” war. The presser, however, wasn’t done. Trump was ready to lambaste everyone in this path, which led to his bizarre exchange regarding a pending sit-down interview with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. In true Trumpian fashion, he framed his answer through the lens of eternal rival, Hillary Clinton.

“When you talk about interviews, Hillary Clinton had an interview where she wasn’t sworn in, she wasn’t given the oath, they didn’t take notes, they didn’t record and it was done on the Fourth of July weekend,” he said, referring to James Comey’s July 2016 interview of Clinton, of which documents and notes were released in September of that year.

“That’s perhaps ridiculous, or a lot of people looked at it being a very serious breach and it really was.” He also repeatedly stated that “there was absolutely no collusion,” even calling the Russia investigation “a Democrat hoax that was brought up as an excuse for losing an election that, frankly, the Democrats should have won.” Finally answering the question, the President said, “We’ll see what happens. Certainly I’ll see what happens, but when they have no collusion, and nobody’s found any collusion at any level, it seems unlikely that you’d even have an interview.” Watch above, via Fox News.
