WATCH LIVE: White House Press Briefing With Sarah Huckabee Sanders 1/11/2018

Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a briefing today to discuss the White House’s latest plans and administrative agenda. The briefing is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. EST. It is likely that Sanders will begin by talking about the vote today to reauthorize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). Even though President Donald Trump caused a lot of confusion today by attacking the program before supporting it, the House of Representatives voted to renew the surveillance act in a 256-164 vote. It’s possible Sanders will be asked about the challenges FISA will face in the senate, and why Trump seemed to go against the White House’s position on it before changing course 2 hours later. Sanders also has a high probability of facing questions connected to Trump’s press conference yesterday with the Norwegian prime minister, Erna Solberg. A Norwegian journalist asked the president about a Marine general who recently said that Norway could factor into a foreseeable international conflict, though Trump didn’t seem to know much about this particular statement. Another prominent moment occurred when Trump invoked Hillary Clinton as he dodged questions about whether he would agree to let special counsel Robert Mueller interview him for the special Russia investigation. Other topics likely to come up include; DACA, Trump’s upcoming trip to Davos, and his call to toughen up libel laws. Watch above, via the White House. [Image via screengrab] — —
