Watters and Gutfeld Blast Pelosi Over ‘Five White Guys’ Remark: Dems ‘Allowed to be Racist’

This afternoon, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tossed out what would be considered at best an ill-advised joke when she tried to make the comparison between a well-known burger chain and the current Capitol Hill group leading immigration negotiations. Fox News’ The Five made sure to highlight her comments, with some of the hosts labeling them as racist. Jesse Watters started things off by playing a clip of Pelosi calling the negotiating group “five white guys,” pointing out that House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer — who is part of the group — immediately rebuked the Dem leader. “I guess the joke was the Five Guys, the hamburger chain,” the Fox News host noted. “There is a clear racial implication. Helpful or not?” Kimberly Guilfolye wondered aloud how many times Pelosi needs to take shots at white men while Juan Williams contended that it was a “poor joke,” adding that got “taken by people who want to criticize her as being racially loaded.” “If there were five black men there, let’s say, from the Congressional Black Caucus and she said it looks like we have a basketball team, how would you take that?” Greg Gutfeld asked Williams. “Because she said five white guys — It’s okay for liberals to inject race and identity into anything but if anybody made similar joke from a Republican side, God knows the amount –” As Williams tried to argue that it wasn’t the same situation due to the fact that there are no Hispanics in a group working on immigration, Gutfeld went on to claim this was a case of Democratic hypocrisy. “I think Nancy was making a joke but to inject race into it,” Gutfeld declared. “They are allowed to be racist, sexist, and homophobic because their heart is in the right place, right?
