Pastor Mark Burns Responds to Joy Reid After On-Air Clash: Why Doesn’t She Move to Haiti?

Pastor Mark Burns followed up on his contentious MSNBC interview today by responding to Joy Reid in their clash over Haiti. In case you missed it, Reid and Burns fought this morning over President Trump‘s reported “shithole” comments, with Burns arguing that the President of course wants to prioritize the well-being of Americans. Burns Periscoped his response to Reid and went off on the issues they were debating, saying at one point, “She should just move to Haiti since she’s more concerned about Haitian immigrants than black Americans here in poverty.” During AM Joy, Reid was made aware of Burns’ remarks, played a clip of it, and responded: She took issue with him calling her a “friend” and quoted the Bible back to him, before going over “what Haiti has done for us” in the past. “They are a part of the fabric of this country,” Reid said, “and sir, African-Americans include Haitian-Americans. So Pastor Burns, I hope that you will open your heart to the people of this world, to the people of this country, and do your duty as a Christian to love your neighbor as yourself.” You can watch Burns’ response video above, followed by Reid’s on-air rebuttal, via MSNBC.
