CNN Tonight Leads Time Slot in Demo Friday, MTP Daily Third In Demo at 5 PM

CNN Tonight pulled off a ratings win on Friday when it led both the 10 PM and 11 PM time slots in the key 25-54 demographic. The program had a bit of help in achieving the victory among younger viewers as Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle was guest-hosted by Jason Chaffetz and MSNBC aired a special at 10 PM. Fox News topped the primetime 8 PM to 11 PM time slot in both total viewers (2.352 million) and the key demo (441,000). MSNBC came in second in both metrics, pulling in 1.816 million total viewers and 359,000 in the demographic. CNN captured an overall audience of 930,000 and 343,000 25-54 viewers. For the entire day, Fox led the way in total viewership (1.406 million) and the demo (280,000). CNN finished second in the demographic (229,000) and third in overall audience (676,000). MSNBC attracted 1 million total viewers
214,000 in the key demographic. Over the weekend, CNN’s original series, The Kennedys, ranked #1 in its 9 PM Sunday time slot in total viewers (1.715 million) and the 25-54 demo (395,000).
