Fox News Host Apologizes Again for Calling NoKo Summit Meeting of ‘Two Dictators’

Fox News host Abby Huntsman has apologized — again — for calling the North Korea summit a meeting of “two dictators.” The gaffe was made on Sunday during a Fox and Friends segment when Huntsman turned to Trumpian Anthony Scaramucci and said this: “This is history. We are living — regardless of what happens in that meeting between the two dictators, what we are seeing right now, this is history.” She later apologized on the air, but that didn’t stop the gaffe from taking over Twitter, sparking ire from the right and jokes from the left. Responding to the controversy Sunday afternoon, Huntsman, who just so happens to the be the daughter of U.S. Ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman, called on people on Twitter to “move on to things that actually matter.” On Sunday, both President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrived in Singapore for the historic meeting which Trump said was more about attidude than preparation. “I don’t think I have to prepare very much. It’s about attitude,” Trump said earlier this week about the Summit. “I think I’ve been prepared for this summit for a long time, as has the other side.” Trump also appeared hopeful about the Summit on Saturday, tweeting out about the meeting, “we have a chance to achieve a truly wonderful result for North Korea and the World.” As for late Sunday afternoon, Twitter has shown little signs of moving on from Huntsman’s dictator slip.
