The remarkable Golden State Warriors have done it again. For the third time in four years, the remarkable squad has brought the NBA championship back to the Bay Area. Following a narrow, overtime Game 1 NBA Finals victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Warriors reeled off three more in a row to sweep the Cavs and take the title. Kevin Durant, for the second consecutive year, was named Finals MVP — averaging 28.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 7.5 assists for the four game set. Durant was brilliant throughout, but his 43 points in Game 3 — including a late game 3-pointer from about 30 feet out with the shot clock winding down — helped dash any legitimate hopes Cleveland had of winning. Durant, on Tuesday, will join his teammates — including Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green — for the official victory celebration. parade began at 1:00 p.m ET.
