Kathy Griffin: Kevin Hart Not Going After Trump a ‘P*ssy Move Because He’s a Black Man’

Kathy Griffin went after fellow comedian Kevin Hart for, despite being more popular than she, not using his platform to make more jokes about President Donald Trump. Griffin’s opposition to the president is well established by now, thanks to the enduring controversy from that photoshoot where she held up a likeness of Trump’s bloody, decapitated head. In an interview with USA Today, Griffin talked about her efforts to restart her stand-up career, but she also randomly took a shot at Hart for not attacking Trump in his comedy, even though he’s black. “I do feel like this is such an anxiety-ridden time for everyone that there is a thirst for all kinds of comedy,” said Griffin. “And look, if you want to not hear about Trump at all, go see Kevin Hart. He doesn’t even mention Trump. I personally think that’s a p*ssy move because he’s a black man. I guess he’s selling more tickets than I ever will.” If you wondered what Hart thought about Griffin, it would be worth considering that he appeared on The View last year and said her photo with Trump’s head was “comics being comics.” “We always take risks, but sometimes it can be distasteful,” he said at the time.
