WATCH: Bob Woodward and CBS This Morning Team Confront Network Scandal

Amid the ouster, this week, of CBS chief Les Moonves and 60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager — both of whom have been accused of sexual misconduct — heralded reporter Bob Woodward addressed the network’s turmoil during on appearance on its morning show. “CBS has gone through a scandal,” Woodward said. “Let’s call it what it is.” Yet the Watergate crusader expressed optimism that the network would be back on its feet soon. He singled out 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl among others at CBS whom he admires. “Are you trying to say, Bob, we’ll be okay at CBS?” Gayle King asked. “Is that what you’re saying?” “Thats exactly right,” he replied. “Because you’ve got strength. People go through tough times.” The journalist added, “You are going to be fine if you stick with your values.” “I really appreciate you saying this,” King said. “It’s to see your company’s name with the word in front of it besieged. That’s very difficult. But there are a lot of talented, hard-working people here. I say heads-up and onward. But it is difficult, it is a scandal, we’re going through it. But as you said, our values and our core is very, very strong.” Watch above, via CBS. [featured image via screengrab]
