Florida School Shooter Reportedly Threatened and Physically Attacked Boy Who Dated His Ex

Nikolas Cruz, the mass shooter who killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, was previously reported to officials at the school for threats, violence, and other aggressive behavior toward a student who dated his ex. In a BuzzFeed News report, the outlet interviewed three of Cruz’s former classmates who claimed the 19-year-old became violent and angry after a fellow student began dating his ex-girlfriend after the two broke up. While Cruz was eventually expelled from the high school in 2017 over “disciplinary reasons,” he showed disturbing signs of instability toward peers long before his removal. After 17-year-old Enea Sabadini began dating Cruz’s ex, the would-be mass shooter attacked him or tried to on multiple occassion — the incident that some reports attribute to his expulsion. Filled with jealous rage, Cruz sent Sabadini numerous Instagram messages laying-out plans to violently get back at the teenager for Continue reading "Florida School Shooter Reportedly Threatened and Physically Attacked Boy Who Dated His Ex"

Disturbing and Violent Instagram Messages From Florida School Shooter Reveal Hatred For Minorities, Gays

Mass shooter Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year-old who gunned down 17 people and injured numerous others in a Parkland, Florida high school on Wednesday, reportedly posted racist and anti-gay comments in an Instagram group chat. As reported by CNN, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooter spoke to five other people in the chat — which was named  “Murica (American flag emoji) (eagle emoji) great” by Cruz — about his hatred for “jews, ni**ers, immigrants.” The CNN report states:
He talked about killing Mexicans, keeping black people in chains and cutting their necks. The statements were not made in jest. There are hundreds of racist messages, racist memes and racist Instagram videos posted in the group… Cruz said he hated black people simply because they were black; Cruz hated Jews because he believed they wanted to destroy the world.
After one member expressed hatred for gay people, Cruz agreed, saying, Continue reading "Disturbing and Violent Instagram Messages From Florida School Shooter Reveal Hatred For Minorities, Gays"

WaPo Hiring Megan McArdle is Their Worst Move Since Supporting the Iraq War

Nearly 15 years ago, the Washington Post editorial board printed a column supporting George W. Bush’s decision to invade Iraq. While most major newspapers and mainstream outlets promoted the warmongering Bush administration’s plan, the Post took it up a notch — publishing 140 pieces on their front page essentially making the White House’s case for war prior to the March 19, 2003 attack. The decision to support the Iraq War, which led to the murder of countless innocent people and the destruction and destabilization of an entire region for countless years to come, is by far the worst idea to ever come out of the paper’s opinion page — but thanks to their hiring of nepotism-case and Koch brothers fangirl Megan McCardle, readers can now look forward to similarly atrocious takes from the Post on a regular basis. This week, it was announced McCardle will join the paper’s opinion team covering Continue reading "WaPo Hiring Megan McArdle is Their Worst Move Since Supporting the Iraq War"

Conservative Media Figures Attack ‘Gun Free Zones,’ Advocate For More Firearms in Schools

In response to the high school shooting in Parkland, Florida that took the lives of 17 people yesterday, many in conservative media launched an attack against “gun free zones” and called for laws allowing regular citizens to arm themselves inside schools. While many others call for legislative reforms that would restrict access to weapons, such as stricter background checks and specific weapon bans, right-wing figures took the opposite approach. NRATV’s newest voice Dan Bongino advocated for additional firearms in schools, saying the only way another one of these shootings can be prevented is “a good guy with the appropriate training and a firearm to stop it.” Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe suggested laws should be passed allowing regular citizens “to arm themselves” while inside schools and other gun free zones. “Perhaps we have to also look at citizens being able to arm themselves in certain areas like this school, which Continue reading "Conservative Media Figures Attack ‘Gun Free Zones,’ Advocate For More Firearms in Schools"

Ted Cruz Hits Back at CNN For Suggesting He’s Afraid to Appear on Network to Talk FL Shooting

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) responded to Chris Cumo slamming him for not coming on CNN to discuss the Parkland, FL shooting by pointing to the debates he did on the network. “Gosh, I seem to recall doing not 1, not 2, but THREE town hall debates w/ @BernieSanders on @CNN Each 90 min long. You can accuse me of many things, but being afraid of CNN is not one of them,” tweeted Cruz. The tweet was in response to Cuomo accusing Cruz, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Governor Rick Scott (R-FL) of retreating to Fox News after the shooting:
“We Continue reading "Ted Cruz Hits Back at CNN For Suggesting He’s Afraid to Appear on Network to Talk FL Shooting"

Ted Cruz Calls For Inaction After School Shooting: ‘Evil is Sadly Always Present’

In response to the teen gunman who killed 17 people in a Parkland, Florida high school, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas — rather than calling for legislative action — resigned that “evil is sadly always present.” While the suspect was reportedly wielding an AR-15 style semiautomatic rifle, Cruz did not focus on the shooter’s weapon in a Fox News interview this morning. Instead, he talked about the inherent depravity of humankind:
“This horror shouldn’t exist, and we don’t know right now exactly why this deranged individual did this. I’m sure in the days to come we’ll find out more about what his motives were — Continue reading "Ted Cruz Calls For Inaction After School Shooting: ‘Evil is Sadly Always Present’"

Rep. Darrell Issa Denies Having Affair With Republican Lawmaker’s Wife: ‘Nothing to Do With’ Divorce

Despite rumors floating around Washington, D.C. suggesting Rep. Darrell Issa may have something to do with the messy split-up of Rep. Mike Turner and his estranged wife Majida Mourad, the California Republican denied any claims of an extramarital affair with his colleague’s ex-partner. Issa, who announced plans to leave Congress at the end of his current term, received a letter of deposition regarding the divorce from Tuner, which sparked the controversy. Speaking with ABC News, Issa told the network he had “nothing to do with anything” regarding their breakup:
“He’s looking to do discovery for something I don’t know or understand, and I think a little bit of it’s been blown out of proportion. I’m not a fact witness, to my extent. The letters talk about his claim that he was swindled into a fraudulent marriage by a woman he wants to be paid about $1.5 Continue reading "Rep.
