Van Jones Endorses Oprah As The ‘Superstar’ To Defeat Trump In 2020

We’re only 55 days into Donald Trump’s presidency, but CNN correspondent Van Jones is already endorsing a candidate that could go toe-to-toe with him come 2020.
During a visit to “Watch What Happens Live” on Wednesday night, Jones was peppered with questions from host Andy Cohen about the state of the country, but it was a caller who got him to reveal his pick for a future Democratic candidate to challenge Trump.
After acknowledging that Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) would be worthy selections in any other election, Jones gave his full support to none other than television host and media mogul Oprah Winfrey.
“For real. Listen, I’m telling you. I love a lot of the Democrats,” he said. “I love Kamala Harris, who’s coming up in California. I love Cory Booker, who I’ve known for 20 years. This new Joe Continue reading "Van Jones Endorses Oprah As The ‘Superstar’ To Defeat Trump In 2020"

Madonna Lets The F-Bombs Fly On Live TV In Anti-Trump Speech At Women’s March

Unapologetic as always.
Madonna was among a host of celebrities who joined the Women’s March on Washington Saturday, in solidarity with the hundreds of thousands of women marching in the capital and around the country the day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The singer, who has been vocal about her distaste for the former reality TV star since the beginning of his campaign, took the stage in D.C. to deliver an impassioned and profanity-laced speech about the importance of a political moment that forces everyone to “wake the fuck up.”
“Welcome to the revolution of love, to the rebellion, to our refusal as women to accept this new age of tyranny, where not just women are in danger, but all marginalized people,” she said. “It took this Continue reading "Madonna Lets The F-Bombs Fly On Live TV In Anti-Trump Speech At Women’s March"

Oprah Winfrey Clarifies Her Trump Optimism After Twitter Backlash

We think it’s safe to say Twitter won’t be on Oprah Winfrey’s list of favorite things for the next few years.
The former talk show host/part-time Lindsay Lohan counselor caused some controversy last week after Donald Trump’s upset presidential victory. On Nov. 10, she posted a photo of the president-elect meeting president Obama in the White House. Winfrey captioned the image “Everybody take a deep breath” with the hashtag #HopeLives.

Those who weren’t so keen in sharing in Winfrey’s optimism in the wake of Trump’s victory let their frustration be known in her Twitter mentions.
Many accused the media mogul of attempting to normalize Trump after the hateful rhetoric of his campaign, while others could only muster up a “DON’T YOU DARE OPRAH.”

Rose McGowan Calls Donald Trump A ‘Murderer In The Making’ In Scathing Open Letter To Press

Rose McGowan has penned an open letter addressed to Donald Trump and his enablers, whom she believes to include news networks like CNN, FOX, CBS, ABC and NBC, as well as Viacom and the Murdoch family.
In the strongly worded message released on Wednesday, the “Charmed” actress takes the media to task for perpetuating Trump’s hateful rhetoric for the benefit of ratings and self-promotion. She even goes as far as likening coverage of Trump to the city of Flint, Michigan, “poisoning its citizens.”
“It is NOT most of America who should be ashamed, it is YOU for propagating this propaganda,” she wrote, presumably speaking to publications covering the election. “Stop poisoning humanity. Go rogue, reverse course, be BRAVE. He is a murderer in the making. Do NOT AID AND ABET A CRIME.”
McGowan has been an out and proud Trump detractor for months, most recently engaging in Continue reading "Rose McGowan Calls Donald Trump A ‘Murderer In The Making’ In Scathing Open Letter To Press"

Meryl Streep Thinks Her DNC Scream ‘Sounds Like Someone Being Murdered’

Meryl Streep’s speech at the Democratic National Convention in July was memorable for a multitude of reasons: the unbridled enthusiasm over Hillary Clinton’s nomination, her tribute to female trailblazers, the groundbreaking American flag-inspired dress and, of course, her scream.
Not since Howard Dean shrieked his way out of the 2004 election has there been an outburst so simultaneously earnest and perplexing.
C’mon, you know the one:

On Tuesday, Streep addressed the scream heard ‘round the world while promoting her new movie “Florence Foster Jenkins” during a segment on “Good Morning America.”
“[It] sounds like someone being murdered,” she jokingly told George Stephanopoulos. “Now I know what I sounded like as a cheerleader at Bernards High School.”
“I didn’t realize that I had done that actually,” she added. “I just was swept up with the moment. It was a pretty amazing moment in history. Continue reading "Meryl Streep Thinks Her DNC Scream ‘Sounds Like Someone Being Murdered’"

Bradley Cooper Still Doesn’t Get Why Republicans Freaked Out Over His DNC Appearance

In the wake of the Democratic National Convention, a few things have become clear: Hillary Clinton made history, Malia Obama is a human teenager who should do whatever she wants, and some Republicans have difficulty discerning the difference between fact and fiction.
Shocking, we know.
During a visit to “The Late Late Show,” Bradley Cooper addressed the baffling response to his presence at the DNC after fans of his film “American Sniper” took to Twitter to express their outrage that the actor would ever support a Democratic candidate.
“It was unbelievable,” Cooper said of his experience at the convention. But he was less than thrilled with the media firestorm surrounding his appearance, remarking, “I was not expecting that.”
Luckily, the director of “The Hangover” films was on hand to explain how ridiculous it was that people would ever confuse Cooper’s political views with those of his “American Continue reading "Bradley Cooper Still Doesn’t Get Why Republicans Freaked Out Over His DNC Appearance"

Harrison Ford Could’ve Been Killed By The Millennium Falcon On ‘Star Wars’ Set

For Harrison Ford, life almost imitated art on the set of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” While filming the seventh installment of the fantasy saga, the actor sustained a leg injury after being crushed beneath a door of the Millennium Falcon, the starship his character, Han Solo, mans in the original trilogy.
Luckily, Ford was able to recover quickly from the accident and return to filming. But, according to new details released in court, his injuries could have been fatal.
The production company responsible for the mishap, Foodles Production, is currently being tried for breaches in health and safety, according to The Guardian. The Disney subsidiary pleaded guilty to two of four charges at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court in London on Tuesday, relating to a breach of duty in relation to employees and a breach over people not employed by the company.
Prosecutor Andrew Marshall argued Continue reading "Harrison Ford Could’ve Been Killed By The Millennium Falcon On ‘Star Wars’ Set"
