Delta Throws Shade at United Airlines by Encouraging ‘Comfort’ on its Flights

shutterstock_603437945 United Airlines is going to need some ice, because they just got burned. By now you’ve definitely heard that over the weekend, the airline found itself in the middle of a PR nightmare when they would not allow a ten-year-old girl onto a flight because she was wearing leggings. Of course, it’s a little more complicated than that. The girl was flying for free as the daughter of an employee for United, and apparently there’s a dress code if you have a “United Pass.” Still, the airline has suffered in the last 24 hours. Lots of people are angry and have vowed to fly other airlines from now on. Delta decided to take advantage of the moment by throwing some shade at United and reminding customers that “Flying Delta means comfort,” and that they’re free to wear leggings on their flights:

Aaron Sorkin Just Learned Hollywood Has a Diversity Problem and Twitter is Roasting Him

shutterstock_394794700 At the Writers Guild Festival in Los Angeles on Saturday, Aaron Sorkin revealed that he didn’t know that Hollywood has a diversity problem. According to Variety, he asked his audience “Are you saying that women and minorities have a more difficult time getting their stuff read than white men and you’re also saying that [white men] get to make mediocre movies and can continue on?” Sorkin continued to try to learn more throughout his talk before eventually asking, “What can I do [to help]?” Hollywood’s diversity problem is, of course, widely recognized and is often reported on. People are pretty surprised that Sorkin isn’t aware of it, and have been roasting him on Twitter for it:

‘Where’s Warren Beatty When You Need Him?’ Al Roker Nearly Awards Wrong Student On Air

This morning, Al Roker had his own Steve Harvey/Warren Beatty moment on NBC’s Today when there was a bit of a mix-up with an award. As part of his annual “Rokerthon,” Al was at the University of Oklahoma where students set a Guinness World Record for the largest human weather symbols. He was also on hand to award a student — whose name was to be chosen at random from a hat — with a $5,000 scholarship. When Roker picked the name, he said “Kelsey Hawk,” and a student promptly came running down the field. But, standing with Roker, she soon realized she had misheard. Turns out, her name was Kelsey Hull. “Where’s Warren Beatty when you need him?” joked Roker. The real Kelsey Hawk ultimately came forward and both girls were good sports about it. In the end they each got scholarships. Watch the video above, Continue reading "‘Where’s Warren Beatty When You Need Him?’ Al Roker Nearly Awards Wrong Student On Air"

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Website Has Published a Guide to Anal Sex

gwyneth paltrow “First it was shocking, then it was having a cultural moment, now it’s practically standard in the modern bedroom repertoire,” says Goop. The piece, which can be found in this week’s issue of Gwyneth Paltrow‘s lifestyle publication is referring to anal sex and “the realities of making anal both as safe and as pleasurable as possible.” The piece is an open and honest Q&A with psychoanalyst and author Paul Joannides, Psy.D. He talked about things like the evolution of anal sex’s popularity in porn, and how that translates to real life: “Understand that the way you see anal sex portrayed in porn is about as real as how they drive cars in the The Fast and the Furious,” he said. They also touched on the question of how many of us are doing it (spoiler alert: it’s not as many as you might think). On a more serious note, Joannides discussed Continue reading "Gwyneth Paltrow’s Website Has Published a Guide to Anal Sex"
