BREAKING: Conor Lamb Declared ‘Apparent’ Winner of Pennsylvania Special Election

After a very long night, NBC News is calling the PA-18 special election, declaring Democrat Conor Lamb the “apparent winner” over Republican Rick Saccone. That’s according to an NBC News projection that a worn-out but nonetheless cheery Steve Kornacki appeared on Morning Joe to report — watch above. What Time Is CNN Town Hall With Parkland Shooting Survivors?

CNN’s town hall with Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school students, teachers, and parents will be airing tonight at 9 pm ET. Survivors will be in attendance along with lawmakers like Senator Marco Rubio. NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch is also set to participate. The two-hour forum, titled “Stand Up: The Students of Stoneman Douglas Demand Action,” will be moderated by CNN anchor Jake Tapper. CNN will be live-streaming the town hall online. Watch Live: Police Storm Florida High School to Apprehend Active Shooter

Police are storming a Florida high school after a gunman opened fire, leaving one dead and dozens more injured, according to officials. WSVN has a live stream of the Broward Sheriff’s response to the shooting. The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. The school is now on lockdown as police respond to the incident. Police has asked students and teachers to remain barricaded inside the school until officers can reach them. Fox News reported that the shooter is wearing a maroon hoodie and black pants, and is currently in the west side of the school. Watch live above, via WSVN. SLIDESHOW: Mediaite ‘Most Influential in News Media’ Party Draws Biggest Names in News

Last night was Mediaite’s big bash to honor the Most Influential in News Media and look back on a wild year. Held at Freds at Barneys, the party gathered the top news reporters, anchors, producers, publicists, and staffers, all of whom had a blast celebrating the holidays, the conclusion of a very intense election, and a much-debated list. The attendees represented every network and site from Fox News to Bustle and everything in between. We spotted CNN’s Jeff Zucker, Brian Stelter, Don Lemon, SE Cupp Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt, Harris Faulkner, Bill Hemmer, Steve Doocy, Juan Williams, and Kat Timpf and NBC/MSNBC’s Megyn Kelly and Ari Melber among Diane Sawyer, George Stephanopoulos and many other party goers. When guests weren’t chowing down on mini cheeseburger sliders and tapenade crostini, they were taking pictures — lots of pictures!
