Rachel Maddow’s Response To Being Called ‘Sir’ Was Absolutely Priceless

Rachel Maddow has spent the first three months of 2017 proving just how much of a boss she is.
Thanks to her intrepid reporting on the Trump administration and must-see exclusives, like nabbing two pages of the president’s 2005 tax returns, the openly gay MSNBC host is seeing some of the best ratings of her career ― and of any primetime cable news show.
But an unscripted moment that took place on Wednesday night may offer the best proof yet of Maddow being an undeniable ― and totally unflappable ― badass.
At the end of an interview with Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.) about members of Congress attempting to force President Donald Trump to release his tax returns, Maddow thanked Pascrell for being on her show, to which he responded, “Thank you, sir,” before quickly correcting himself and letting out a somewhat embarrassed “ma’am!”

Here’s A Fact-Check On Milo Yiannopoulos’ Incendiary Claims About Trans People

As a rule, The Huffington Post’s Queer Voices won’t publicize the white nationalists’ favorite troll Milo Yiannopoulos. The last thing we want to do is give this attention-seeker oxygen for his racist, transphobic, misogynist dumpster fire.
But there are moments when I think it’s important to fact-check his insanely dangerous rhetoric and one of those moments came Friday night, courtesy of Bill Maher’s “Overtime” aftershow.
After he engaged in a disappointingly playful interview with Yiannopoulous on his HBO show “Real Time With Bill Maher,” he offered the Breitbart editor more airtime, alongside panel members Larry Wilmore, Malcolm Nance and Jack Kingston on “Overtime.”
During the appearance, Yiannopoulos misgendered a trans woman he had previously attacked at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, claimed that transgender people suffer from a “psychiatric disorder” and stated he “makes no apologies for protecting women and children from men who are confused about their sexual identity.”

Dear Trump Supporter Who Sent Me Hate Mail For Being A ‘Stupid Jewish Faggot’

I returned to work on Sunday to find three envelopes from you on my desk. They must have arrived sometime last week when I was in Wisconsin with my family for Thanksgiving.
In the letters, which were all identical (I’m not sure why you felt the need to send three), you claim to be someone I went to high school with. You say you love Donald Trump because “he’s anti-semetic and anti-Islamic” and you think I’m a “stupid Jewish faggot.” I can’t be sure we really went to school together but the envelopes were postmarked with a stamp from Milwaukee so I suspect, sadly, that you’re telling the truth.
Apparently you started a petition to get me fired because of my anti-Trump posts on Facebook and because you “don’t like Jewish people” and you “don’t like” me. You claim to be circulating the petition amongst alumni from our high Continue reading "Dear Trump Supporter Who Sent Me Hate Mail For Being A ‘Stupid Jewish Faggot’"

Trump To Howard Stern: I’ve Never Had A Gay Thought In My Life

If you were worried, for whatever reason, that Donald Trump might be gay ― or might have even ever had a single gay thought ― you can now rest easy.
At least, that’s if you take the Republican presidential nominee at his word (and that’s a big “if,” right?).
CNN’s KFiles division reviewed “hours of newly uncovered audio” between Trump and radio host Howard Stern recorded over the last 17 years for a piece aimed at providing “previously unreported examples of Trump engaging in crude conversations.” The topics addressed during the interviews range from Trump’s thoughts on his daughter Ivanka’s body to beauty pageant contestants to his own sex life.
In the clip below from 2010 (starting near the 1:32 mark), the two men discussed golf champion Tiger Woods’ extra-marital affairs. Of them, Trump noted, “One thing we’ve learned about Tiger Woods, definitely, he is not gay,” to Continue reading "Trump To Howard Stern: I’ve Never Had A Gay Thought In My Life"

Scared Of Trans People In Bathrooms? Here’s One HUGE Thing You’re Forgetting

Awooga! Awooga! My fellow Americans, this is not a drill!
Transgender people occasionally need to relieve themselves and they occasionally need to do it in public restrooms!
Terrifying, right?!?!?!?!?!!?!??!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?
Actually, no. Not at all. But by the way politicians, religious righters, and regular ol' citizens are reacting, you'd think that they are storming Target restrooms en masse and maniacally laughing while they piss and shit radioactive nuclear waste or killer bees or "Fuller House" episodes.
Sadly, many people's fear about what might truly happen if trans people get to use public restrooms is -- if you can even believe it -- even more ludicrous. They're worried that a trans person might molest, rape, kidnap, murder or choose-your-own-violent-action-verb any innocent, helpless woman or child in the vicinity. Even more ridiculous, they're worried that an attacker might transition just so that they can more easily gain access to the restroom Continue reading "Scared Of Trans People In Bathrooms? ‘Family’ Group Member Can’t Answer Simplest Question About Trans Bathrooms

Chris Matthews tackled the controversy over transgender people using public restrooms on his MSNBC show "Hardball" just hours after the Obama administration directed public schools to allow transgender students to use the restrooms and locker rooms that correspond with their gender identity.
Matthews welcomed two guests with opposing viewpoints on the matter, Jennifer Finney Boylan, a trans activist and writer who has appeared on E!'s "I Am Cait," and Travis Weber, a member of the right-wing Family Research Council, which adamantly opposes orders like the one announced on Friday.
Boylan explained that trans people are not looking for "special rights," but rather only want "equal protection under the law," and "mostly ... to be left alone." She further argued that there have been "no reported signs of any incidents [regarding transgender people attacking others in public restrooms] over the last several years" and noted "a law very Continue reading "‘Family’ Group Member Can’t Answer Simplest Question About Trans Bathrooms"

TMZ Head Honcho Harvey Levin Gets Surprisingly Candid About His Sexuality

TMZ big shot Harvey Levin is known for exposing the secrets of Hollywood's biggest stars, but now he's revealing a few of his own.
The creator and executive producer of the popular gossip website and television gossip show of the same name opened up about his sexuality in a new essay he penned for the Los Angeles LGBT Center, "the world's largest provider of programs and services for LGBT people."
Levin details in the piece, published on the non-profit's Vanguard Now site on Friday, the "profound internal struggle" he felt as a teen and how a "homophobic campaign" that someone close to him waged had "scarred" him for "many, many years." It caused him to try "harder than ever to lead a 'straight' life."
His shame led to him living a life of secrecy and lies. "If I went to a gay bar, I would wait
