Director Judd Apatow
is asking 21st Century Fox’s showrunners and talent to stand up to the company over Fox News’ coverage of the migrant family crisis at the U.S. southern border.
Apatow released a series of tweets on Monday, slamming Rupert Murdoch
for promoting “evil ideas and greed and corruption” with his media empire’s coverage of President Trump
and his administration’s separation of migrant children from their parents. Apatow conceded that he worked with Fox on his 2002 sitcom, Undeclared
, but now, he’s calling on the media corporation’s most powerful figures to condemn the support and positive coverage Murdoch and the news division give to Trump’s policies.
