Ana Navarro Rips Trump Over Hillary Golf GIF: ‘He’s Being a Jerk,’ Not a President

President Trump‘s retweet of a GIF showing him hitting a golf ball at Hillary Clinton became a subject of discussion during CNN’s State of the Union roundtable this morning. Former Trump campaign strategist David Urban pointed out to Dana Bash that “retweets do not equal endorsements.” But Bash asked, “Why is he so obsessed with Hillary Clinton still?” Ana Navarro said again this behavior can’t be normalized:
“If your six-year-old son did this, he’d be punished. And so this 71-year-old should not be accepted. This is––he’s being a jerk and he’s not being a President.”

Ana Navarro: ‘I Wholeheartedly Agree’ With Trump DACA Position

On Thursday CNN Republican Ana Navarro speculated on Twitter that she was in the midst of a “psychedelic dream.” While we aren’t sure what psychedelics she might be on, Navarro said the reason for her altered state was that she found herself in agreement with Trump’s position on DACA issued on Twitter this morning. “Oh.My. God. I wholeheartedly agree with a Trump tweet,” she wrote. “I must still be asleep and in the middle of some weird, psychedelic dream.” Navarro was reacting to a two-part twitter message by Trump in which he reiterated his support for DACA and keeping the roughly 800,000 DREAMers currently protected under the program in the country.

CNN’s Ana Navarro Calls Bannon’s 60 Minutes Interview ‘Eerie’

CNN’s Ana Navarro described Steve Bannon‘s 60 Minutes interview as “eerie” during a panel discussion on The Lead this afternoon. In talking about Bannon’s talk of a GOP “civil war,” former Hillary Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon said people seem to be exaggerating the former White House chief strategist’s influence. For all the talk of Bannon being an “evil genius,” Fallon told Jake Tapper, “he came off mostly as evil but not so much of a genius.” Navarro weighed in and said, “I thought the interview was eerie, frankly, and it was horrifying to think that somebody that is so obsessed––so downright nativist and evil could have been in that White House with the ear of the President for so many months.” “It’s sad,” she added, “to think that this guy wants to wage war with other Republicans.” Watch above, via CNN. CNN Republican Commentator Ana Navarro Has Given Money to Several Democrats

CNN’s most outspoken Republican pundit has a history of giving big money to Democrats over the years. According to a report from LifeZette, Ana Navarro has given over $18,000 to the campaigns of numerous Democrats including Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), and former Sen. Bob Graham (D-FL). She also gave $2000 to pro-Democrat organizations Democrats Win Seats and Help Elect America’s Team. Records from the Center for Responsive Politics show that Navarro began giving money to Democrats as early as 1997, the first being to Graham for his pro-immigration legislation like Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act as well as the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (Navarro was born in Nicaragua). Navarro gave two $200 donations to Menendez, as Lifezette suspects, for his position on relaxed immigration regulation. She would later help organize three fundraisers for Menendez in 2006 when the GOP controlled the Senate. At the time, Continue reading "CNN Republican Commentator Ana Navarro Has Given Money to Several Democrats"

Ana Navarro Fires Back at Ex-Trump Adviser: I Was a Republican When Trump Was Still a Democrat

CNN’s Ana Navarro fought with former Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo on State of the Union this morning when the subject of Navarro’s party affiliation came up. Even though her attacks on President Trump are some of the most notable on cable news, Navarro remains a Republican. Former Democratic governor Jennifer Granholm applauded her for speaking out and asked her to “consider coming over.” Navarro said people like her need to stay in the GOP, and Caputo said, “You’ve already gone over.” “Actually,” Navarro shot back, “I was a Republican when the President you support was a Democrat, and I was a Republican when the President you support was an independent.” Caputo said she’s supported Democrats, and Navarro pointed out that so did Trump. “Do you know how to spell hypocrisy?” she asked. “Or should I spell it out for you?” Watch above, via Continue reading "Ana Navarro Fires Back at Ex-Trump Adviser: I Was a Republican When Trump Was Still a Democrat"

‘I Don’t Know What They’re Putting in Your Water!’ Ana Navarro Goes Off in Heated CNN Fight

CNN’s Ana Navarro got heated with Stephen Moore over President Trump‘s decision to pardon Joe Arpaio just two weeks removed from his initial comments on Charlottesville. Navarro said earlier tonight that the Arpaio pardon was a “slap in the face” to Latinos, and she told Don Lemon during the panel later that this comes in the wake of Trump standing with Neo-Nazis and equivocating with “both sides.” “Shame on him!” Navarro said. Stephen Moore responded, “To say that he stood with Neo-Nazis is preposterous, that’s just a crazy statement.” Navarro shot back, “Come on, Steve. You know better than this!… I don’t know what they’re putting in your water!” Moore said that Trump was right to say there were bad people on both side and that wasn’t necessarily an equivocation, because “there are some really bad people on the left” too. Navarro said she Continue reading "‘I Don’t Know What They’re Putting in Your Water!’ Ana Navarro Goes Off in Heated CNN Fight"

Ana Navarro Rips Arpaio Pardon: A ‘Slap in the Face to the Latino Community’

In a classic Friday night news dump with Hurricane Harvey hours away from making landfall in Texas, President Donald Trump pardoned controversial Maricopa County, AZ sheriff Joe Arpaio. Moments after the pardon was announced, Ana Navarro phoned into Anderson Cooper: 360 and told substitute host John Berman that part of her was not surprised that Trump granted the pardon. But… “Part of me is shocked, shocked, that in a week where there’s been the backlash after Charlottesville, in a week where he just now signed the order banning transgenders, it’s like this guy all he wants to do is represent the 34 percent base.” Navarro blasted Trump, and said that the Arpaio pardon would only serve to further alienate him from Latino voters. “He’s got to know what it means to the Latino community to pardon Joe Arpaio,” Navarro said. “It is a slap in the face for most Continue reading "Ana Navarro Rips Arpaio Pardon: A ‘Slap in the Face to the Latino Community’"
