Anthony Scaramucci Defends Backing Convicted Felon Running for Congress: I’m ‘All About Redemption’

Anthony Scaramucci, who frequently makes the news rounds as a Trump insider and who served as President Donald Trump‘s White House Communication Director for less than two weeks, has thrown his support behind a convicted felon running for Congress in Staten Island. Michael Grimm resigned from Congress in 2014 after being convicted of tax evasion charges. Yet, now he is seeking re-election and has found a supporter in Scaramucci, who is using his days-long White House gig to help garner support for Grimm. At an event in the borough on Saturday complete with Trump 2020 signs, Scaramucci — who was identified in the media advisory as “former White House communications director” — stood beside Grimm and make it clear he was with him. For his part, Grimm, a Republican, used the event to make it clear he is with Trump. “We have the right president in Washington,” Grimm told Continue reading "Anthony Scaramucci Defends Backing Convicted Felon Running for Congress: I’m ‘All About Redemption’"

Michael Avenatti Insists He Doesn’t Want His Own TV Show (AGAIN)

Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti really doesn’t want his own TV gig, or at least that is what he keeps saying. Despite the fact that he’s been practically ubiquitous on cable news media to discuss his client’s case and anything even remotely related to it, reportedly asked MSNBC president Phil Griffin for a gig on that network and even had a show starring him and Anthony Scaramucci facing off Crossfire-style pitched to MSNBC and CNN by their shared agent, Jay Sures, Avenatti definitely doesn’t want to be on television. He said as much to Vanity Fair earlier this month, explaining that he had “been approached by a number of networks who have explored the possibility of me possibly having my own show once the case is resolved, but I’m not seriously entertaining any of those ideas because right now, I’m focused on the task at hand.” Then Continue reading "Michael Avenatti Insists He Doesn’t Want His Own TV Show (AGAIN)"

Scaramucci & Avenatti Debate Show Pitch Sends Twitter Off The Cliff: ‘This is What They Play on TV in Hell’

This is either the greatest television idea ever or the punishment we all rightfully deserve. There have been talks with the United Talent Agency, CNN, and MSNBC about giving Anthony Scaramucci and Michael Avenatti their own Crossfire-type debate show. Since the two men are known for their forceful personalities and their knack for rocking the political media’s world, this could very well be the inevitable conclusion of the Trump-era’s impact on TV programming. Whether Michael & The Mooch happens or not, you know people on Twitter are going to have some thoughts about this. As you can see the reactions range from “Yes please” to “Dear God no! Anything but that.” Here’s a sampling:

NEW: Show Starring Michael Avenatti and Anthony Scaramucci Being Pitched to CNN and MSNBC

A “Crossfire-style” television show for 2018 is being pitched to CNN and MSNBC, starring none other than Anthony Scaramucci and Michael Avenatti. United Talent Agency president Jay Sures has already met with CNN and MSNBC executives to present the idea, sources confirmed to Mediaite. The story was first reported by The New York Times. Mediaite has learned that in the pitch to MSNBC and CNN it was emphasized that Avenatti likely could not start the show until after the Stormy Daniels case wrapped up. Scaramucci, made famous for the rollicking 11 days he served as President Donald Trump‘s communications director, has kept his name in the news by with a steady stream of cable news appearances. He was booted from the administration last summer after a colorful call with Ryan Lizza — in which he declared that then-White House official Steve Bannon likes to suck his own Continue reading "NEW: Show Starring Michael Avenatti and Anthony Scaramucci Being Pitched to CNN and MSNBC"

Scaramucci Calls For Firing of WH Officials Who Leaked Sarah Sanders’ Meeting on Leakers

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci wants the people who leaked Kelly Sadler‘s disparaging comments about John McCain kicked out of the White House. As the White House continues to take heat over Sadler’s remarks, her colleagues have spent the last few days complaining about leaks to the media, rather than the substance of what Sadler said. Sarah Huckabee Sanders railed against leakers during a recent chat with the White House communications team…and then five sources leaked the details about that to Axios. On Saturday morning, Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney acknowledged that Sadler’s remarks were “awful,” but he dismissed the outrage they cause since the comments were made in a private conversation, and he said the leak was the bigger issue. The Mooch seems to agree, saying the leaks are “inexcusable” and the people responsible “should be fired.”

Maher Compares Trump’s Orbit To The Mob: This Presidency Isn’t a Reality Show, It’s a ‘Scorsese Movie’

Bill Maher closed his show Friday night by comparing President Trump and his inner circle to the mafia. Maher began by claiming that New York City has carted off its “most toxic trash” to Washington D.C. and that they’re “not sending their best people.” He asked how “someone from Real America” could like people such as Trump, Michael CohenRudy Giuliani, Donald Trump Jr., and Anthony Scaramucci. “What happened to your values? What happened to good manners and monogamy? You’re the ‘my word is my bond’ people. These guys lie just to stay in practice,” Maher said. “You’re all about an honest day’s work. Trump watches TV til noon. You’re frugal. They spend like identity thieves who’ve got a hold of your pin number. You’re stoic. Trump’s a whiny little b*tch.” Maher’s theory was Trump supporters didn’t like it that liberals and feminists had Continue reading "Maher Compares Trump’s Orbit To The Mob: This Presidency Isn’t a Reality Show, It’s a ‘Scorsese Movie’"

WATCH: Scaramucci Gets Absolutely Schooled on Iran Deal by Fmr. U.S. Ambassador to Russia

If this were a boxing match, the referee would’ve stopped it in the first round. Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci stopped by MSNBC Live Tuesday to discuss the Iran nuclear deal with host Stephanie Ruhle and her panel. Hours before President Donald Trump is expected to announce the U.S. withdrawal from the pact, Scaramucci defended what would be a controversial decision by comparing the Iranian regime to Germany under Adolf Hitler. “It’s a very good time to be on the outside of the international community when you’re battling Adolf Hitler, and there’s a group of people in the international community that want appeasement with Hitler,” Scaramucci said. He added, “Maybe the president is actually helping the allies by being the tough cop on the block that’s going to impose something on Iran that is going to topple that regime.” The looks on the panelists’ faces, reacting
