CNN’s Max Boot: Asking Saudis to Investigate Themselves is Like Asking Trump Jr. to Conduct Russia Probe

During a conversation with CNN’s Ana Cabrera on Wednesday, author, Washington Post columnist, and CNN analyst Max Boot cast doubt on the plan, pushed by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to give Saudi Arabia more time to investigate the fate of  Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.  When asked by Cabrera about the U.S.’s plan to give the Saudis “more time to investigate themselves, Boot said this:  “It’s going to be a long wait if they’re looking for a serious investigation.” He added: “Asking the Saudis to investigate Jamal Khashoggi’s murder is kind of like asking Donald Trump Jr. to investigate the ties between the Trump campaign and the Russians.” Cabrera then asked if it is possible the Saudis will “essentially pick a fall guy” and paint him as a rogue actor. “That seems like the most likely scenario,” Boot replied. “They’re going to look for Continue reading "CNN’s Max Boot: Asking Saudis to Investigate Themselves is Like Asking Trump Jr. to Conduct Russia Probe"

MSNBC’s Bret Stephens Rips ‘King Donald’ and Sons Over Russia, Saudi Arabia: Don Jr. ‘Happens to be an Idiot’

On MSNBC on Wednesday, news anchor Stephanie Ruhle discussed Donald Trump‘s AP interview with her guests, former Democrat senator Robert Torricelli and New York Times columnist and MSNBC contributor Bret Stephens, and on the topic of his son, Donald Trump Jr., the right-leaning Stephens unleashed. Ruhle read from the AP’s extensive interview, in the portion regarding the Trump Tower meeting with Russians about Hillary Clinton. From the AP transcript, the President said:
“My son’s a good young guy. He did what every other person in Congress would do if somebody came up to them, said, ‘Hey, I have information on your opponent.’ I don’t know of any politician. And I think I can speak for the people in this room that would have said, ‘Oh, gee, information on my opponent and it’s bad information?’ Name me a politician that would have turned that down. There Continue reading "MSNBC’s Bret Stephens Rips ‘King Donald’ and Sons Over Russia, Saudi Arabia: Don Jr. ‘Happens to be an Idiot’"

Don Jr. Shares Post Accusing Missing Saudi Journalist Jamal Khashoggi of ‘Tooling Around’ With Terrorists

Donald Trump Jr. took a shot at missing Washington Post columnist and prominent Saudi dissident Jamal Khashoggi on Friday, retweeting a post linking him to terrorists. Khashoggi disappeared earlier this month after visiting the Saudi Consulate in Turkey, and it is suspected he was murdered by a team of Saudi security agents. The Washington Post reported on Thursday night that Turkish officials have told the U.S. that they have video and audio proving Khashoggi was interrogated, tortured, killed and dismembered by the Saudi team. PJ Media’s Patrick Poole took to Twitter on Friday to post what he called a “notorious 1988 Arab News article” by Khashoggi in-which he can be seen “tooling around Afghanistan with Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda co-founder Abdullah Azzam.” “He’s just a democrat reformer journalist holding a RPG with jihadists,” Poole added.

Michael Avenatti Challenges Donald Trump Jr. to a Charity MMA Fight

Donald Trump Jr. and Michael Avenatti clashed on Twitter earlier, but now Stormy Daniels‘ lawyer is proposing an actual fight for charity. Avenatti confirmed on Twitter this afternoon that he is proposing the idea of a mixed martial arts fight between himself and the President’s son: Trump Jr. had initially mockingly tweeted, “Who else is excited about Avanetti/Weiner 2020?!?” Avenatti responded by taunting him about going to prison:

Avenatti Tells Don Jr. He Will Be Indicted and See Federal Prison: ‘Buckle Up Buttercup’

And now, a return to political sanity. And by political sanity, I mean a Twitter fight between Michael Avenatti and Donald Trump Jr.. The fun (or trouble, whichever your point of view) began yesterday, when the president’s son highlighted an article reporting on the possible early prison release of former congressman Anthony Weiner. Since Weiner was serving time because of his sexting scandal with an underaged woman, Trump Jr. joked that he’ll get out in time to be Avenatti’s presidential running mate in 2020. On Tuesday morning, Avenatti returned fire on the Trump scion — warning him not to joke about prison when he might end up taking Weiner’s place behind bars someday.

Don Jr. Mocks Manchin for His Late Backing of Kavanaugh: ‘A Real Profile in Courage’

First son Donald Trump Jr. was not at all impressed with the timing of  Sen. Joe Manchin‘s decision to side with Republicans and vote ‘yes’ on the Kavanaugh nomination. In fact, he mocked his lack of courage. “A real profile in courage from Lyin’ liberal @JoeManchinWV,” the Trump son wrote. “Waited until Kavanugh had enough votes secured before he announced his support. I bet he had another press release ready to go if Collins went the other way.” Trump Jr. was referring to the fact that on Friday Sen. Susan Continue reading "Don Jr. Mocks Manchin for His Late Backing of Kavanaugh: ‘A Real Profile in Courage’"

Don Jr. Responds to Jeffrey Toobin’s Mockery: ‘Scumbags’ Like You ‘Cause Me to Worry For My Sons’ in #MeToo Era

Donald Trump Jr. fired back at CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin after the legal analyst mocked the first-son for saying that he’s more concerned for his sons than his daughters in the #MeToo era. “What’s actual garbage is a partisan liberal hack who masquerades as a journalist on @CNN, attacking me for loving & caring about all my children,” Trump Jr. tweeted this afternoon. “It’s scumbags like @JeffreyToobin, who don’t believe in the presumption of innocence that cause me to worry for my sons.” When asked if he fears more for his daughters or Continue reading "Don Jr. Responds to Jeffrey Toobin’s Mockery: ‘Scumbags’ Like You ‘Cause Me to Worry For My Sons’ in #MeToo Era"
