Omarosa: Hope Hicks Prepped Trump to Lie in Lester Holt Interview, But He’s Too ‘Mentally Challenged’

Omarosa Manigault Newman appeared on Velshi & Ruhle to discuss President Donald Trump‘s behavior in light of her new book, Unhinged, and of tapes she claims to have of the president. “I think it’s sad that with all of the things that’s going on in the country that he would take time out to insult me and to insult my intelligence,” she told Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle of Trump’s morning tweets. “This is his pattern with African-Americans. He doesn’t know how to control himself. He has no impulse control, he doesn’t have the tact for the presidency.” “It’s actually really sad to watch him become unhinged, no pun intended,” she added. “You’ve known him for more than 15 years and you chose to work for him,” Ruhle reminded Manigault. “You know, In 2003 Donald Trump was sharp. He was somebody that I aspired to be Continue reading "Omarosa: Hope Hicks Prepped Trump to Lie in Lester Holt Interview, But He’s Too ‘Mentally Challenged’"

Sarah Sanders Won’t Rule Out Hope Hicks’ White House Return: ‘It Would be a Win’

When President Donald Trump made his way to Ohio for a rally on August 4th, a familiar face tagged along. Former White House Communication Director Hope Hicks was spotted boarding Air Force One. The Air Force One spotting prompted renewed questions if Hicks was planning a return to the White House, something White House press secretary Sarah Sanders doesn’t seem willing to rule out, at least completely. Speaking to Politico, Sanders said this when asked about Hicks’ return:
“I think a lot of people would love to see her involved…She is incredibly smart, talented, and she gets the president. It would be a win across the board for the president if she was Continue reading "Sarah Sanders Won’t Rule Out Hope Hicks’ White House Return: ‘It Would be a Win’"

Hope Hicks Spotted Boarding Air Force One Ahead of Trump’s Ohio Rally

Former communications director Hope Hicks was spotted boarding Air Force One on Saturday, months after her resignation. President Donald Trump is heading to Delaware, Ohio this afternoon to hold a rally, his third in just a week. Bloomberg’s Margaret Talev was among the first to note Hicks’ presence at the Morristown airport in New Jersey prior to departure. It also appeared in the press travel pool report where it was also noted White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was in attendance. It is unclear why Hicks was with Trump on his way to Ohio. However, it Continue reading "Hope Hicks Spotted Boarding Air Force One Ahead of Trump’s Ohio Rally"

Hope Hicks and Rob Porter Spotted Prancing Around Central Park

The Daily Mail has sleuthed out that former White House communications director Hope Hicks and disgraced former Trump administration aide Rob Porter may still be dating. As you may recall, Porter resigned from the White House in February over allegations of domestic abuse from his two ex-wives. Hicks also resigned in February, just weeks after Porter and one day after testifying for eight hours before the House Intelligence Committee and telling them that her job required her to tell the occasional “white lie.” The Daily Mail spotted the two playing “cat and mouse” in Central Park, standing near each other briefly with hats pulled low over their faces. Later on, they caught Porter walking into Hicks’ apartment building with a bouquet of flowers in hand. The Hicks-Porter relationship first came to light in February, when an eyewitness caught the two making out in the back of a car after Continue reading "Hope Hicks and Rob Porter Spotted Prancing Around Central Park"

WATCH: Trump Kisses Hope Goodbye as Hicks Departs From White House

Hope is officially gone. Ex-White House Communications Director Hope Hicks spent her second to last day in the West Wing saying goodbye to her colleagues, including President Donald Trump — who presented Hicks in front of waiting cameras for what appeared to be a final photo-op. The pair kissed each other on the cheek, shook hands multiple times, exchanged pleasantries and literally went their separate ways in front of a pool of reporters and photographers capturing the moment. Hicks seemed to say “goodbye” to the president before walking back toward the White House, as Trump walked toward Marine One to depart from for Ohio. Here are few reactions from Twitter:

Hope Hicks’ Replacement Could Reportedly Be Mercy Schlapp or Tony Sayegh, Who Have Been Gutting Each Other

White House Communications Director Hope Hicks is departing the White House today, and according to New York Magazine‘s Olivia Nuzzi, “The race to fill the Hicks void is a clandestine parade of all the worst human impulses.” Nuzzi reports that two early frontrunners for the job are director of strategic communications Mercy Schlapp and Treasury Department spokesperson Tony Sayegh, who were both former Fox News contributors (big surprise), and who have wanted to kill each other over the job (even bigger surprise). Most of the vitriol is reportedly on the Schlapp side: Former White House officials speculate that with the help of her husband, American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp, she has been trying to smear Sayegh, who worked extensively with and is well-liked by Hicks, in conservative media. Not only would Mercy’s rise signal success for her, but it would also prop up her Continue reading "Hope Hicks’ Replacement Could Reportedly Be Mercy Schlapp or Tony Sayegh, Who Have Been Gutting Each Other"

Losing Hope: WH Staffers Reportedly Dreading What Happens in the ‘Post-Hicks Era’

With Hope Hicks leaving the White House, White House staffers are apparently dreading the “post-Hicks era.” A new report from CBS News says Hicks was an invaluable part of the Trump team, and now that she’s gone things may go a little off the rails:
Staffers are approaching the post-Hicks era with trepidation, unsure what to expect in a lawless White House with a president who thrives on chaos and resents authority, process and order. Hicks even used her standing to shield others from the wrath of Mr. Trump’s explosive outbursts. “She’s the glue to the entire place,” a White House source said. “She helps keep the White House from fracturing. I don’t think people realize what’s about to happen once she leaves.”
There is currently an internal White House search for who will be Hicks’ replacement as communications director. Kellyanne Conway will reportedly be serving in an Continue reading "Losing Hope: WH Staffers Reportedly Dreading What Happens in the ‘Post-Hicks Era’"
