Bill Maher tonight offered a defense of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar Friday night on her tweets about Israel and AIPAC, asking why they’re considered anti-Semitic. Omar’s tweets were condemned by Democratic leaders for perpetuating anti-Semitic stereotypes and she put out this statement Monday:
There have been some calls, including from Vice President Mike Pence, for her to lose her committee assignments. Tonight Maher said this about her tweets:
