John Bolton’s National Security Council Confesses it Was Behind Trump’s NoKo Propaganda Trailer

Moments before President Donald Trump‘s press conference at his Singapore summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, a video was played for the reporters assembled. The four-minute clip, described by perplexed reporters in the room as a cheap Hollywood-style trailer, opens with panoramic shots of vistas, space, and bustling cosmopolitan centers. An iMovie-esque title card reads “A Destiny Pictures Production.” The trailer is heavy on the messaging to the North Korean leader. As footage of Trump and Kim runs alongside some weird shots of a girl frolicking in a field, a narrator doing his best In a World impression declares:
Two men, two leaders, one destiny. A story about a special moment in time, when a man is presented with one chance which may never be repeated. What will he choose? To show vision and leadership? Or not?
The trailer even shouts-out the apparent production Continue reading "John Bolton’s National Security Council Confesses it Was Behind Trump’s NoKo Propaganda Trailer"

Rand Paul Blasts Warhawk John Bolton: I Hope He Was Kept ‘At The Children’s Table’ During NoKo Summit

Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky blasted National Security Adviser John Bolton by saying he hoped the hawkish White House official was kept at “the children’s table” during President Donald Trump’s North Korea summit. “John Bolton was at the table — I’m sure the president had that by design,” Fox News host Neil Cavuto noted to Paul while the libertarian-leaning lawmaker appeared on the network. “What is your response?” “My hope is that he was at the children’s table and that he wasn’t influencing the discussion among adults,” shot back Paul. Bolton is not the first neo-conservative to be attacked by the Kentuckian following Trump’s summit with Kim Jong Un, as Paul also tore into Senator Lindsey Graham and said he “is a danger to the country by even proposing ideas like authorizing war with Korea” while appearing on CNN. As far as Paul’s position on the summit, Continue reading "Rand Paul Blasts Warhawk John Bolton: I Hope He Was Kept ‘At The Children’s Table’ During NoKo Summit"

Officials Reportedly Accusing John Bolton of Trying to Blow Up North Korea Talks

Multiple officials are accusing National Security Advisor John Bolton of intentionally trying to thwart U.S. talks with North Korea, according to CNN. Senior Diplomatic Correspondent Michelle Kosinski said Bolton’s suggestion that the regime follow the same path to denuclearization as Libya was meant to backfire. That’s because for Libya, the end game was the killing of its leader, Muammar Gaddafi. It’s possible Bolton floated the idea hoping to provoke anger from dictator Kim Jong Un. Kosinski told anchor Brooke Baldwin that sources have said Bolton “wanted to throw this big monkey wrench into the works, possibly blow up the entire process of talks because he felt that it wouldn’t end up in the U.S.’s favor in the end.” “Whether that was because he felt like North Korea wasn’t going to play the game or he felt like the U.S. side wasn’t going to be capable Continue reading "Officials Reportedly Accusing John Bolton of Trying to Blow Up North Korea Talks"

Joe Scarborough Suggests John Bolton Sabotaged North Korea Summit By Touting ‘Libya Model’

Joe Scarborough thinks that the cancellation of President Trump‘s denuclearization summit with Kim Jong Un comes back to national security adviser John Bolton. For weeks, Bolton has recommended the Libya model as a possible approach to North Korea’s disarmament. It is possible the rogue regime took notice of this, as before the meeting was cancelled, they threatened to pull out of negotiations by saying their nuclear weapons are off the table. Now that the summit’s off, Scarborough is pinning Bolton’s public statements because Kim Jong Un might have noted that the Libya model didn’t work out so well for former leader of the country, Muammar Gaddafi. “I’m finding this new, strange affection in my heart for John Bolton,” Scarborough said, “who really deep-six’d this summit himself by continuing to talk about ‘the Libya model.'” “Why wouldn’t North Korea like the Libya model?” Scarborough asked. “Because Gaddafi gave Continue reading "Joe Scarborough Suggests John Bolton Sabotaged North Korea Summit By Touting ‘Libya Model’"

Jake Tapper: ‘I Just Would Like The Truth and Facts To Be Respected Again In This Country’

CNN anchor Jake Tapper appeared on The Late Show and spoke about covering the Trump presidency. While discussing the one year anniversary of the Mueller probe, Stephen Colbert expressed to Tapper that all he wants is “the truth.” “I want somebody to say what actually happened,” Colbert elaborated. “Because I think the greatest damage- Donald Trump will come and Donald Trump will go… I worry that we will no longer value knowing what the truth is anymore. I think that’s the value of the Mueller investigation… It’s knowing what the truth was so we can have some sort of an ethical or moral spine to this moment.” “Yeah, and you know what? I’ll do you one better,” Tapper replied. “You want the truth about Russia and possible collusion, I just would like the truth and facts to be respected again in this country.” While giving credit to Continue reading "Jake Tapper: ‘I Just Would Like The Truth and Facts To Be Respected Again In This Country’"

Bolton Says North Korea Summit an Opportunity for Trump to ‘Size Kim Jong Un Up’

Less than a month before the U.S.-North Korea summit, National Security Advisor John Bolton says it’ll be a chance for president Donald Trump to size up dictator Kim Jong Un. Speaking to ABC News’ Martha Raddatz, Bolton said Trump is “very optimistic because he sees the chance of a breakthrough, but I don’t think he has stars in his eyes over this.” A major takeaway from the summit, Bolton says, will be finding out whether Kim is serious about making a change, or whether it’s just talk. “What we need to see from Kim Jong Un is that he and the entire North Korean regime have made a strategic decision that they will be better off without weapons of mass destruction,” Bolton said, adding that “President Trump will be able to size Kim Jong Un up and see if the commitment is real.” According to Continue reading "Bolton Says North Korea Summit an Opportunity for Trump to ‘Size Kim Jong Un Up’"

John Bolton Praises John McCain, Dodges on Whether WH Should Apologize for Aide’s Comment

National Security Adviser John Bolton came to John McCain‘s defense with some glowing comments about his personal character. CNN’s Jake Tapper brought up the nasty comment by a White House aide about McCain, asking Bolton, “How do you feel about that comment and why won’t the White House apologize?” Bolton said this in response:
“John McCain came to my defense in 2005 when my nomination for the UN ambassador was under criticism. He and I didn’t know each other very well at the time, we certainly didn’t agree on each and every position that he or I had taken, but he spent countless hours trying to help me out. And much of it was behind the scenes, there was no political upside for John McCain in that effort at all, but he did it because he thought I was being treated unfairly. I’ll never forget it, I’ll be Continue reading "John Bolton Praises John McCain, Dodges on Whether WH Should Apologize for Aide’s Comment"
