Congressman Max Rose (D-NY) says its time for the country to move on from Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) after her recent, controversial comments about pro-Israel lobbying firms. In the last few days, Omar has been accused of anti-Semitism over a series of comments where she suggested that GOP support for Israel is reciprocal for the financial backing they receive from AIPAC and similar agencies. Omar offered an apologetic statement on Monday after facing bipartisan condemnation, though her new statement indicates that she stands by her criticisms of AIPAC. Rose, who is a Jewish-American and was among the Democrats critical of Omar’s comments, said he accepts her apology when asked yesterday by reporters. He also wondered why there isn’t more furor whenever conservatives suggest that Democratic megadonors like George Soros and Tom Steyer are the sinister puppet-masters for the left. Rep. Kevin McCarthy caught similar flak when he posted a

Rep. Ilhan Omar is facing criticism for a tweet — in which she called out the influence of the pro-Israel lobby on American politicians — that some have deemed anti-Semitic. The freshman Minnesota Democrat was commenting on Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who threatened to punish her and another Muslim lawmaker for pushing anti-Israel rhetoric. Omar continued tweeting in the face of widespread criticism, even retweeting and then deleting a post which accused her of anti-Semitism. In a subsequent tweet, she said “AIPAC” was where such financial influence came from. Omar has already fielded Continue reading "Dem Congressman Condemns Colleague Rep. Congressman-elect Max Rose (D-NY) says there’s no way he supports Nancy Pelosi if the House Minority Speaker launches a bid to regain her former position as Speaker of the House. Rose spoke to Neil Cavuto on Monday’s Your World, and at one point, the Fox host brought up Rose’s on-record distaste with the idea of Pelosi leading the Democrat majority in the House of Representatives. This prompted Rose to reiterated that he’s “absolutely not” a supporter of hers and won’t vote for her for the job. When Cavuto brought up the possibility of Pelosi regaining the Speaker’s chair regardless, Rose continued to insist that Democrats are working to decide who should get it, but he’s adamant that “I am not voting for her, no ifs, ands or buts under any circumstances.” Watch above, via Fox News.
