The hosts of Fox & Friends bucked their own network’s history by spending almost a minute-and-a-half being nice about former First Lady Michelle Obama‘s surprise appearance at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards. On Monday morning’s episode of Curvy Couch Theatre, co-host Steve Doocy noted that “Last night, they had the big Grammy awards, and there was a surprise toward the beginning of the show. On Sunday, former First Lady Michelle Obama made a surprise appearance at the Grammy Awards, standing on the stage with Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez and host Alicia Keys. The audience lost their collective sh*t. “From the Motown records I wore out on the south side,” Obama said, as the audience erupted into thunderous applause. She continued on: “To the Who Run the World songs that fueled me through this last decade, music has always helped me tell my story and I know that’s true for everybody here. Whether we like country or rap or rock, music helps us share ourselves share ourselves: Our dignity and sorrows, our hopes and joys.” She added: “Music shows us that all of it matters, every story within every voice, every note within every song. Barack and Michelle Obama Are Gallup Poll’s Most Admired Man and Woman in 2018

Former President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama have been named Most Admired Man and Woman of  2018 according to an annual Gallup Poll. Former President Obama can now claim 11 straight years at the top of this poll and is now just one first-place finish short of tying Dwight Eisenhower for the most times being Most Admired Man. President Donald Trump is the second most admired man according to the poll, earning 13% mentions to Former President Obama’s 19%. This marks the first time in 17 years that a woman other than Hillary Clinton has been named by Americans as the woman they admire most. Ms. Obama more tripled the others, earning 15% of total mentions. Former Secretary of State Clinton fell to a shared third place, behind Ms. Obama and Oprah Winfrey. Stephanie Grisham, press secretary for Melania Trump, had a dispute with CNN reporter Kate Bennett on Monday in terms of whether she was offended by Michelle Obama offering to give her successor advice on how to contend with the stresses of being First Lady. Obama gave an interview to ABC’s Robin Roberts on Sunday as part of her promotional campaign for her new memoir, Becoming. During this chat, Roberts recalled how Laura Bush promised to make herself available if Obama ever needed any advice during her husband’s presidency, and Obama said that she used a portion of her new book to say that she made the same offer to Mrs. Trump. Excerpts of Obama’s upcoming memoir were reported on Friday, including ones where she criticizes Trump, saying she won’t forgive him for his years of spreading conspiracy theories to delegitimize her husband’s presidency. Michelle Obama revealed she suffered a miscarriage 20 years ago, and that both of her daughters with Barack were conceived through in vitro fertilization. Excerpts from Michelle Obama‘s new book indicate that the former first lady is about to take aim at Donald Trump, especially for his conspiracy-mongering that her husband was an illegitimate president. Former First Lady Michelle Obama says in her new book that President Donald Trump is sending a message. And that message is “I can hurt you and get away with it.” Mrs. Obama’s words are found in her new book Becoming. The Associated Press got their hands on an advance copy of the book set to be released on Tuesday. In it, Mrs. Obama talks about Trump following around Hillary Clinton on the debate stage as well as the Access Hollywood tape as well as Trump’s message. AP reports:

During his rally in Nevada today, former President Barack Obama took a moment to acknowledge an undercurrent of enthusiasm for a potential 2020 challenger to President Donald Trump. Obama repeatedly emphasized the need for people––especially young people––to get out and vote in the midterms, saying it will be the best chance they have to send a message about the craziness of the last two years. He said people come up to him asking him “What are we going to do?” and some even ask, “What about Michelle?” After cheering from the audience, Obama said, “Michelle––she’s not running for President. But she is out there telling you to vote. Because the antidote to government but the powerful few is government by the organized, energized many.” The former first lady has said in the past she has basically zero interest in running. The hosts of Fox News’ The Five slammed T.I. today for a video featuring a Melania Trump lookalike stripping in the Oval Office. The First Lady’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham tweeted in favor of boycotting T.I. as a result. Dana Perino in particular said the First Lady did nothing to deserve that and said first ladies in general should just be off limits. Jesse Watters then asked, “Why doesn’t Michelle Obama speak up?” Moments later Juan Williams said this in response:
“To your point about Michelle Obama, just this week we had this case where a woman running for the Senate in Minnesota was found do have said Michelle Obama can’t stand up as straight as a chimp. I mean, gosh. You think about that kind of racist language or don’t forget what happened even around here, we’ve called her baby mama. Remember that kind of stuff?”

On The View today, co-host Whoopi Goldberg took exception to a tweet sent by CNN’s Jake Tapper over the weekend, in which he reacted to Barack and Michelle Obama dancing at a recent concert. The Huffington Post on Sunday wrote about the Obamas dancing at the Beyoncé––Jay-Z concert, and tweeted the article. Former first lady Michelle Obama was recently spotted by savvy social media users at a Paris concert venue dancing with Beyoncé’s Mom, Tina Knowles. It all happened on Sunday at the Stade de France stadium. Beyoncé and Jay Z were performing as part of their On the Run II tour. Younger Obama daughter Sasha was also there, although she was not spotted dancing with the moms.
