‘Trump Meets Rump’: New York Post’s Kardashian Meets Trump Cover Breaks Twitter

The Oval Office photo of President Donald Trump meeting Kim Kardashian was always destined for memedom. But the New York Post took the money and ran with it – very far and very fast. The Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid will be running a picture of the two television heavyweights on its Thursday morning cover, accompanied by the words “Trump Meets Rump.” The cover is riddled with bootylicious North Korea puns, including “Kim Thong Un” and “The Other Big Ass Summit.” Twitter fell hard for the Post‘s front cover about the back end:

NYC Mayor de Blasio Goes on a Trumpian Screed Against the NY Post: I Won’t ‘Shed a Tear’ If It Shuts Down

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio went on a Trumpesque rant against the New York Post during a recent radio interview. Speaking on WNYC’s The Brian Lehrer Show, the mayor was asked about an email where he called the idea that the New York Post would go out of business “wishful thinking.” “Would you like to see the main opposition paper in the city go under?” the host asked de Blasio. “I’ll tell you what I feel, I believe the Post is not only right-wing, not only distorts the facts on a regular basis, but is divisive,”  de Blasio responded. The mayor then added that he was “shocked” that more people don’t come out and say it. “It used to be a commonplace thing to talk about in New York City,” he continued on. “Just look at the headlines every day and look at the dog Continue reading "NYC Mayor de Blasio Goes on a Trumpian Screed Against the NY Post: I Won’t ‘Shed a Tear’ If It Shuts Down"

New York Post Pays Homage to 90s Trump Cover For Rex Tillerson Firing: ‘Worst Rex He Ever Had’

President Donald Trump’s hometown tabloid paid homage to one of its infamous front covers of the former New York businessman with its Wednesday edition — on the stunning ouster of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. “Worst Rex He Ever Had,” the New York Post cover blares. It’s an ode to a front page in 1990 that quoted Trump’s first wife Marla Maples saying the then-businessman and talk of the tabloids was the “Best Sex I’ve Ever Had.” Trump fired Tillerson on Tuesday, announcing on Twitter that he would be replaced by CIA Director Mike Pompeo. The ouster was less than ceremonious, with the State Department claiming that Tillerson only found out about Continue reading "New York Post Pays Homage to 90s Trump Cover For Rex Tillerson Firing: ‘Worst Rex He Ever Had’"

NY Post Piece on Identifying a Child Psychopath Perfectly Describes America’s Adult Psychopath

At Mediaite, we pride ourselves in being able to connect the dots. So when the New York Post released a report detailing the various disturbing traits to look out for if you suspect your child struggles with psychopathy, we couldn’t help but tie them to America’s most famous adult psychopath. In the article, titled “How to tell if your child is a future psychopath,” Post writer Jane Ridley speaks to Lillyth Quillan — a mother who helps other parents deal with troubled children, as her own son “Kevin” (not his real name) deals with such issues. “After years of cruel and violent behavior plus multiple suspensions and expulsions from school, psychiatrists finally diagnosed the then-14-year-old Kevin with ‘conduct disorder,’ which, in its most extreme form, can be a precursor to psychopathy,” writes Ridley. While the reporter notes that psychopathy tends to only impact one percent of people during their Continue reading "NY Post Piece on Identifying a Child Psychopath Perfectly Describes America’s Adult Psychopath"

Trump Promotes NY Post Column That Says Russian Indictments ‘Deal Don a Big Win’

Minutes after sending out a short tweet about his brief visit with Florida shooting victims, President Donald Trump promoted a New York Post article that claimed that the recent indictments of Russian nationals for interfering in the 2016 election “prove Trump won fair and square. As you can see in the tweet above, the president quoted parts of the column that align with that what he’s been saying for a while — that any meddling had no effect on the election results and Hillary Clinton lost because she was a bad candidate.
