An Infowars viewer called into Roger Stone’s show on the network today to complain about his taxes going up under President Donald Trump and to mock Stone for his cries of victimhood after FBI agents arrived at his Florida home last month to arrest him. Stone responded to the caller, who identified himself as “Michael in Florida,” by challenging him to state his name and address on-air. “I just got [my current tax] information from my accountant, under Trump now I’m gonna pay $4,200 more in taxes than I did in 2017, I have now no individual exemptions and I now Continue reading "InfoWars Caller Rips Trump’s Tax Hike, Pillories Host Roger Stone as ‘Snowflake’ For Complaining About Arrest"

CNN’s John Berman Jokes About Jeffrey Toobin Having His Hands on Roger’s ‘Stones’

Jeffrey Toobin is not just CNN’s Chief Legal analyst, he is also a remarkably accomplished writer for The New Yorker, and during a Monday morning visit to the set of New Day, his two jobs interested as he spoke about a recent article about Roger Stone and Jerome Corsi published Sunday evening. The long-form article mostly portrays the Kafka-esque political comedy of the former colleagues now turned legal rivals amidst the backdrop of the Mueller investigation but includes some fun and silly details as well. One such example is Stone’s fundraising ploy, which reads “In a pair of cardboard boxes, there were dozens of polished rocks, which Stone was autographing and selling: “Roger stones,” to benefit his legal-defense fund.” At the end of Monday’s New Day segment, Toobin spoke of the autograph stone gambit, even holding an example up for viewers to see. He made clear that Continue reading "CNN’s John Berman Jokes About Jeffrey Toobin Having His Hands on Roger’s ‘Stones’"

CNN Denies Whitaker Claim Network May Have Been Tipped to Roger Stone Raid: A ‘Conspiracy Being Hatched’

After Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker suggested — during his Friday testimony before the House Judiciary Committee — that CNN may have been tipped off to the FBI’s raid on Roger Stone, the network reiterated that they did not receive a heads-up. Ever since CNN filmed Stone last month while he was taken into custody, President Donald Trump and other conservatives have claimed without evidence that the outlet must have been tipped off by the Justice Department if they knew to be at Stone’s house ahead of time. CNN has refuted these claims before by saying there was no forewarning and they only acted on “unusual grand jury activity” that made it seem like Stone’s indictment was imminent. Shortly after his explosive condemnation of today’s “pointless” hearing, Ranking Committee Republican Doug Collins (R-GA) used his questions for Whitaker to advance the CNN tip-off conspiracy theory. When the committee adjourned, CNN Continue reading "CNN Denies Whitaker Claim Network May Have Been Tipped to Roger Stone Raid: A ‘Conspiracy Being Hatched’"

WATCH: Roger Stone Releases Surveillance Video of His FBI Arrest

Longtime informal Trump adviser Roger Stone released home surveillance footage of his January arrest by FBI agents, granting the footage exclusively to the pro-Trump Sinclair Broadcast Group. Stone was arrested on Jan. 29 on charges which included obstruction of an official proceeding, making false statements, and witness tampering. On the morning of the arrest, CNN released footage of the raid, which they were in place to film because the network’s reporters staked out Stone’s home after they noticed unusual grand jury activity. Stone and his allies have since tried to portray the FBI’s actions as “Gestapo tactics,” and Stone’s release of the footage to Sinclair could be an effort to bolster that narrative. But the footage itself is relatively uneventful. Without audio, it is presented out of sequence, first with Stone being led from the house in handcuffs. The video then cuts to several minutes earlier, when two

Trump to NY Times: I Never Talked to Roger Stone About WikiLeaks

President Donald Trump denied ever speaking with Roger Stone about WikiLeaks during an Oval Office interview he provided the New York Times published Thursday night.  The wide-ranging interview covered many topics currently in the news: U.S. foreign policy, the current political stalemate over border security and even his potential political rivals vying for the Democratic presidential nomination. NY Times reporters Peter Baker and Maggie Haberman were joined by publisher Arthur Sulzberger, Jr. in the Oval Office, and it appeared to be Haberman who brought up the subject of the recent indictment and arrest of Trump’s long-time friend and fellow South Floridian Stone. The audio of the interview was published by the NY Times and aired on MSNBC. The transcript of the brief back and forth:
TRUMP: “I like Roger. He’s a character. But I like Roger. For a team of 29 people with AK-27s or whatever they were using, so Continue reading "Trump to NY Times: I Never Talked to Roger Stone About WikiLeaks"

A court filing submitted by Robert Mueller shows that FBI agents seized a large trove of records and communications from Roger Stone‘s house after he was placed under arrest last week. Prosecutors for the special counsel’s office told a federal judge on Thursday that they found “several terabytes of information” on multiple devices in Stone’s house, making the discovery “both voluminous and complex” in scope. The collected evidence on the hard drives has information from iCloud and email accounts, bank records, and digital financial content that dates back several years. Stone was taken into custody under multiple counts Continue reading "Federal Investigators Obtained ‘Several Years’ Worth of Records Following Roger Stone’s Arrest"

Napolitano Says Roger Stone Arrest Was ‘Staged’: This is ‘Kafkaesque’

Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano said the heavy-handed early morning raid and arrest of Roger Stone was “staged” by authorities. Napolitano appeared on Fox Business Thursday morning to decry the way the longtime Trump adviser’s arrest was handled, following his op-ed declaring the show of force “an American nightmare.” After explaining how federal agents, armed with automatic weapons, stormed Stone’s home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida last week, Napolitano said “this is not to arrest a kidnapper of babies or a terrorist.” “The charge is lying to Congress,” Napolitano continued. “It’s not a violent crime, there’s no evidence that he’s going to flee, he doesn’t have a valid passport, he’s not an imminent danger to society.” “Why on earth would the government put on a show of force like that?” host Stuart Varney asked. Napolitano offered two reasons: either the government thought it could intimidate Stone Continue reading "Napolitano Says Roger Stone Arrest Was ‘Staged’: This is ‘Kafkaesque’"

Samantha Bee roasted Roger Stone on Full Frontal Wednesday night, as part of a deep dive into the career of the longtime Trump adviser just arrested and indicted as part of the Mueller investigation. “It’s easy to make fun of Roger Stone, he literally looks like an Easter Island statue,” Bee said. “But there’s a lot more to Roger Stone than a cone head and Nixon tattoo.” “For decades, Stone has proclaimed himself a political genius, a high-powered trickster merrily owning the libs, a sort of Republican Banksy,” she explained, before mocking his claims that he’s an “agent provocateur.” “Roger Stone is not a super villain or a gangster, he just shows up whenever things are getting dirty,” Bee said. “He’s more like America’s athlete’s foot.” Watch above, via TBS.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, sent FBI Director Christopher Wray a letter with questions about the arrest of Roger Stone. “While I firmly support law enforcement taking into action threats to officer safety, flight risk, and the need to ensure evidence is preserved,” he wrote, “I am leery that a subject of the Special Counsel’s investigation, who had retained counsel, had publicly stated that he believed that he would at some point be indicted, and was apparently willing to surrender voluntarily, was arrested in a pre-dawn raid at his home.” He has a number of questions about the tactics of the raid, which he also tweeted out:

MSNBC Guest Rips Roger Stone for Saying He’s Facing a ‘Legal Lynching’: He Should Learn About Actual Lynching

After Roger Stone suggested his indictment in Robert Mueller’s probe is a present day “lynching,” NYU law professor Melissa Murray suggested that he and other Republicans who throw around that term should learn about “the lynchings and violence” African-Americans face in the south. “This is a lynching,” Stone began today, during an appearance on Infowars with Alex Jones tdaoy. “This is a legal lynching of me, because I appear on Infowars, because I’m friends with Alex Jones, because I support Donald Trump and I supported him for president, and I still support him, because I helped take down the evil queen, the foul-mouthed, short-tempered, self-centered clepto-cat Hillary Clinton.” Murray responded to Stone’s hyperbolic claim by telling the following to MSNBC’s Ari Melber:
“So lynching, this is straight out of the GOP playbook. Anytime anyone runs into hot water, it’s a ‘high-tech lynching,’ it’s a ‘legal lynching.’ These people Continue reading "MSNBC Guest Rips Roger Stone for Saying He’s Facing a ‘Legal Lynching’: He Should Learn About Actual Lynching"

Roger Stone punched back at CNN’s Jake Tapper after the television anchor made a joke about him enjoying prison. “He might like it,” Tapper joked on Friday after Stone had been indicted by the FBI. Tapper’s joke got traction after slammed by Donald Trump Jr. in a tweet. Stone shot back at Tapper, Tuesday on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily, by saying this: “I mean, Jake Tapper looks light in the loafers to me,” said Stone during a SiriusXM radio interview, alluding to Tapper’s sexuality. “I don’t know what implication he’s making about me, but I think most people found the whole thing repugnant.” Listen above via SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily. Roger Stone Describes His Arrest: I Was Arrested by CNN and ‘They Brought A Few FBI Agents With Them’

Roger Stone, the former Trump campaign advisor, spoke with Bernie and Sid on 77 WABC shortly after pleading not guilty during his court hearing on Tuesday. He gave his side of the story when the FBI arrested him at his Florida home in the early morning hours. The only media present for the arrest was a crew from CNN, which raised speculation as to whether someone had given them the exclusive.

“The street was sealed off. CNN was the only media outlet on the side,” Stone said. “If I was dangerous. If I was considered dangerous, which is the only way that you can justify this, why would the FBI allow a CNN camera crew to film the whole thing?”

“If I were dangerous, they would have cleared all media, all civilians  from the street. The street was sealed with you know yellow police tape. So out of Continue reading "Roger Stone Describes His Arrest: I Was Arrested by CNN and ‘They Brought A Few FBI Agents With Them’"

Napolitano Slams FBI’s ‘Gestapo-Like Tactics’ Against Roger Stone To Scare Him Into Cooperating

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano took his criticisms of the FBI to the next level on Tuesday by saying they used “Gestapo-like tactics” in their handling of Roger Stone. Earlier today, Mediaite noted how Napolitano appeared on Fox & Friends and said the FBI caused an “American nightmare” for Stone by using excessive force when they placed him under arrest him last week. Stone pled “not guilty” during his arraignment today in Washington D.C., and when Napolitano reacted to the news on America’s Newsroom, he flirted with Stone’s talking points about supposedly being even more roughly treated than Osama bin Laden (who was executed by Navy SEALS in 2011).
“They’re looking to squeeze Roger Stone, that’s the reason for the Gestapo-like tactics last Friday morning at his house where they sent twice the number of people to arrest him as the Department of Defense sent Continue reading "Napolitano Slams FBI’s ‘Gestapo-Like Tactics’ Against Roger Stone To Scare Him Into Cooperating"

Jerome Corsi Sells Out Roger Stone: After Access Hollywood Tape, He Tried to Get WikiLeaks to Release Emails

Jerome Corsi has been dubbed “Judas” by Roger Stone — after having served as a Stone associate. Monday night on MSNBC, Corsi made a claim that is only likely to make Stone apply the Judas moniker to him even more. Appearing on The Beat with Ari Melber, Corsi claimed that Stone called him on the day the Access Hollywood tape featuring President Donald Trump was released. In the call, according to Corsi, Stone articulated his desire to have WikiLeaks release emails from former Hillary Clinton campaign chair John Podesta. “I had one call from Roger, as I recall it —- Roger disputes this —- on the day that WikiLeaks did begin in October dropping the final emails on John Podesta,” Corsi said, “In which Roger was essentially saying, ‘We’ve got this timing issue because the Billy Bush tape is going to be released, and we’d like to have Assange begin Continue reading "Jerome Corsi Sells Out Roger Stone: After Access Hollywood Tape, He Tried to Get WikiLeaks to Release Emails"

Napolitano Blasts FBI’s ‘Jackboots in the Morning’ Arrest of Roger Stone: ‘American Nightmare’

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano does not approve of the excessive force he thinks the FBI used when they arrested Roger Stone last week. Ever since he was taken into custody in the early hours of Friday, Stone has been railing against the FBI while claiming that more force was used against him than what was used in the raid against Osama Bin Laden. This would seem hyperbolic on Stone’s part since bin Laden was terminated and had his body cast into the sea when Navy SEALs brought him down in 2011. When Fox & Friends talked about the Stone raid on Tuesday, Ainsley Earhardt said Napolitano told the show producers that the FBI sent 29 agents and 17 vehicles to Stone’s house, while only 12 SEALS raided bin Laden’s compound. “This is jackboots in the morning,” Napolitano said in response. “This is an American nightmare that they Continue reading "Napolitano Blasts FBI’s ‘Jackboots in the Morning’ Arrest of Roger Stone: ‘American Nightmare’"

Stephen Colbert opened up his show on Monday with a parody sketch fashioned after Cops. Only this time the ‘bad boys’ were Roger Stone and, as teased for the next episode, Donald Trump Jr. “We’re here to arrest Roger Stone,” the faux-FBI agent says in the sketch titled simply “Mueller.” “He’s easy to spot because he dresses like a Dick Tracy villain, he also has a tattoo of Richard Nixon on his back and, I believe, a Henry Kissinger tramp stamp,” he continues on, speaking directly to the camera. “Actually, pretty excited we’re arresting him because I picked him from my collusion fantasy league.” “We’re going in!” he then says before sirens wail. The sketch ends with a tease for the next Mueller episode. “Next week on Mueller,” the announcer in the sketch says, before showing a preview clip of the FBI knocking on the door. Fox’s Napolitano: If Roger Stone’s Serious About Playing Hardball, Mueller Report May Not Drop Until After 2020

On Fox News on Tuesday, contributor Judge Andrew Napolitano spoke with Neil Cavuto about the fate of Robert Mueller’s investigation and that of recently arrested and indicted Trump confidante Roger Stone. The whole thing could go past the next election, said the Judge, depending on who cooperates and who doesn’t. At the same approximate time Napolitano was on Your World with Neil Cavuto, acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker told reporters in a press briefing that he believes the Special Counsel’s investigation is “close to being completed,” a wrinkle about which Napolitano was not aware during his appearance in the clip above. Napolitano was sharing with Cavuto the insights he had from his own interview of Stone for his Fox Nation program, and said that Stone could be intending to play hardball. After some back and forth about the arrest and the possibility of a gag order, Cavuto Continue reading "Fox’s Napolitano: If Roger Stone’s Serious About Playing Hardball, Mueller Report May Not Drop Until After 2020"

Dan Bongino Falsely Claims Roger Stone Indictment Proves No Collusion: ‘Time to Move On’

Fox & Friends covered Friday’s indictment of Roger Stone on Monday morning and brought on frequent guest Dan Bongino to provide the same exact commentary he provides on Fox & Friends every single time that he comes on. In short: liberal media bad, there was no collusion, the president is very good. The hit today was unique, however, in that Bongino reached the conclusion that it is time for Robert Mueller to end his investigation because, after having pored over the Stone indictment three whole times, Bongino discovered that it exonerates the Trump campaign for conspiring to collude with Russian officials who interfered with the 2016 general election. “The problem is we were all told that Mueller was investigating grand conspiracy with the Russians of which is not in dispute anymore,” Bongino said. “To this day zero evidence any of that happened and the Stone indictment, at this point, proves it. Roger Stone Flips Out on Mueller Probe and FBI Arrest: ‘These Are Gestapo Tactics’

Longtime Trump ally and friend Roger Stone was arrested and indicted last week, and the dramatic footage of the FBI raid caught on camera by CNN has been the subject of criticism on Fox News and other Trump-aligned outlets over the last few days, and by Stone himself Sunday morning. On This Week, Stone told host George Stephanopoulos that Robert Mueller‘s office was using “Gestapo tactics” in order to poison the jury well against him. “Well, I must tell you, George, I think the way I was treated on Thursday is extraordinary, I think the American people need to hear about it” said Stone, getting the day of his arrest incorrect. “I’m 66 years old. I don’t own a firearm. I have no prior criminal record. My passport has expired. The Special Counsel’s office is well aware of the fact that I’m represented. The idea that a 29-member Continue reading "Roger Stone Flips Out on Mueller Probe and FBI Arrest: ‘These Are Gestapo Tactics’"

Jerome Corsi Claims ‘Remarkably’ Correct Deductive Skill Was His Source for Insider Wikileaks Info

On Friday, right-wing author and former Infowars bureau chief Jerome Corsi outted himself as “Person 1”, named in the indictment of Trump ally Roger Stone, who was dramatically arrested last week. In a long and revealing interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday, Corsi said he’s prepared to testify to what the indictment says about him, among other things. “Person One” Corsi is, according to the indictment, one of the people with whom Stone communicated about the Wikileaks release of hacked DNC emails. Tapper began by asking Corsi to restate what he has said about the accuracy of the indictment. “I know that my motivation is to tell the truth, and I will affirm that what is in the indictment about me is accurate,” said Corsi. “and I will affirm that, if asked to in court.” “So that means you’re willing to testify against Roger Stone,” said Tapper, Continue reading "Jerome Corsi Claims ‘Remarkably’ Correct Deductive Skill Was His Source for Insider Wikileaks Info"
