Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel is calling for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) to be disciplined by the Texas state bar for lying. In a letter to the Texas bar — with whom Warren is licensed to practice law — McDaniel writes that the senator should be reprimanded for claiming to be “American Indian” on her application. “Attorney Warren is now apologizing for misrepresenting herself as an ‘American Indian’ or Native American throughout her career,” McDaniel wrote in the letter. “It has now been thirty-three years since she made this representation to the Texas Bar and has never made an attempt to correct her registration card. Therefore it is clear that Attorney Warren lacked the ‘Good Moral Character’ required for admission to the Texas Bar and should be disciplined for her three decades of untruthfulness. The irony, of course, is almost impossible to escape. McDaniel is calling for a senator Continue reading "RNC Chair Calls For Elizabeth Warren to Be Disciplined For Lying"

Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs spoke with RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel tonight and opened by asking, “What is going on with your party?” “Just about the time this president has garnered the nation’s attention on the crisis that is at our border,” Dobbs said, “you’ve got Mitch McConnell peddling a bunch of establishment K Street nonsense––oh, we can’t declare a national emergency just because there’s a national emergency, senator? Ronna, what’s going on?” McDaniel said that Trump came to Washington in the first place to disrupt business as usual, defending his border security push and saying Trump “has an obligation to keep our country safe.” Dobbs made it clear he’s not happy about the “RINOs” in the GOP getting in the way of the president’s agenda:
“Your party, whether it is Jeff Flake, Mitt Romney, whether it is Mitch McConnell or Paul Ryan––do you ever Continue reading "Lou Dobbs Blasts ‘RINOs’ in Interview with RNC Chair: ‘What Is Going On With Your Party?’"

RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel explained her tweet defending President Donald Trump after her uncle, incoming Senator Mitt Romney, published a harsh criticism of Trump’s character in a New Year’s Day Washington Post Op-Ed. In a discussion with Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy, McDaniel explained what many saw as an awkward dynamic in which she defended the president against what she called an “attack” from an “incoming Republican freshman senator.” “I love my uncle,” she proclaimed, adding “My tweet yesterday had nothing to do with family.” She then went on to explain “I would have done this any freshman incoming senator and I would have said hey, let’s focus on the real issues here which are the Democrats that are proposing dangerous policies for our country.” McDaniel’s tweet yesterday drew attention for her apparent choice to defend President Trump over Senator-elect Romney’s attack on the Continue reading "Ronna McDaniel Explains Controversial Tweet Criticizing Her Uncle Mitt: ‘Nothing to Do With Family’"

Political Twitter is doing a collective spit-take in response to RNC chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel‘s slam against Mitt Romney for his criticisms of Donald Trump. Romney, former Republican presidential candidate and senator-elect from Utah, is drawing the wrath of conservatives after he penned an op-ed slamming the president and questioning his fitness for office. Trump returned fire against Romney earlier today, and now, McDaniel has pinned this tweet of herself slamming the “freshman senator” for his “disappointing and unproductive” critiques. Since McDaniel is attacking her own uncle for his views on Trump’s character, political observers are having a field day as they Continue reading "Family Feud Between Ronna McDaniel and Mitt Romney Sends Shockwaves: He’s ‘Your Uncle!!!’"

And you thought the holidays with your family were awkward… There’s been a lot of commotion over Mitt Romney bashing President Donald Trump in a blistering op-ed. The incoming Utah senator showed no mercy for Trump in the Washington Post, denouncing the president’s character, condemning the chaos of his administration and blaming him for the divided state of the nation. Romney’s column has drawn plenty of ire from Trump-world already. But now, he apparently has a new critic: Ronna Romney McDaniel In case this hasn’t been made clear already, the Republican National Committee chairwoman doesn’t just share her middle name with Romney, Continue reading "RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel Scolds Her Own Uncle Mitt Romney For Op-Ed Criticizing Trump: ‘Freshman Senator’"

Elizabeth Warren announced a 2020 exploratory committee today, a significant moment kicking off the Democratic primary race against President Donald Trump. RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel tweeted a brief statement in response saying, “Senator Warren couldn’t be more out of touch. Americans will see her for what she is: another extreme far-left obstructionist and a total fraud.” Warren’s announcement today––including a video that takes a shot at Fox News––has been met with mixed reactions. Former Republican congressman and Trump critic Charlie Dent called it a “total gift” to the President. [image via screengrab]

Jake Tapper Battles RNC Chair Over Trump’s Anti-Immigration Video: ‘It’s Factually Inaccurate and Racially Incendiary’

As immigration tops President Donald Trump‘s list of talking points ahead of the midterms, Jake Tapper called out Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel for the commander-in-chief race-baiting with his factually inaccurate video. Last Wednesday, Trump tweeted a clip of convicted cop killer Luis Bracamontes, an illegal immigrant whom the president claims was allowed to remain in the country by Democrats. As it turns out, Bracamontes, after being deported, returned under the Bush administration, but McDaniel continually evaded Tapper’s line of questioning on Trump’s false narrative. “I think the president’s highlighting the point…we didn’t want this individual in our country,” she told Tapper during Sunday’s State of the Union broadcast. “He came in first under Bill Clinton and then under George Bush and he did kill police.” While McDaniel admits Bracamontes came back to the U.S. under Republican leadership, she was reluctant to say whether she Continue reading "Jake Tapper Battles RNC Chair Over Trump’s Anti-Immigration Video: ‘It’s Factually Inaccurate and Racially Incendiary’"

GOP Chair Ronna McDaniel Calls Out Maxine Waters After Ted Cruz Harassed at Dinner

On Monday night, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was harassed out of a restaurant by “unhinged” protesters while having dinner with his wife. On Tuesday, GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted about it. “The Democrat Party of Maxine Waters is completely unhinged,” said McDaniel about the incident. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has repeatedly called for and supported public harassment of GOP members and people who work for the Trump administration. But she is not alone. The GOP released a video, titled “Unhinged”, showing clips of violence mixed with clips of speeches and comments from prominent democrats earlier this year. The word unhinged will show up a lot more between now and election day. [Featured image via screengrab] — Follow Caleb Howe (@CalebHowe) on Twitter

FNC’s Bill Hemmer Grills RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel Over Party’s Election Prospects: ‘The Midterms Could Be Really Tough’

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel appears convinced that President Donald Trump is the secret sauce that will lead Republicans to more victories in 2018, but Bill Hemmer did his best to pump the brakes and give McDaniel a reality check. “Let’s talk about Ohio 12,” Hemmer said. “This is a district the president card carried by 11 points, I think Mitt Romney carried it by 10. Why would it even be this close, Ronna?” “I think that’s a really tough comparison,” McDaniel said. “When President Trump won, 377,000 voters turned out. It was a presidential year. Compare that to a special election in August a week before school starts, just isn’t fair. So only 200,000 voters turned out last night. It was about ground game, it was about turning out your vote and Republicans turned out.” “Do you think the visit on Saturday even kept this thing close?” Continue reading "FNC’s Bill Hemmer Grills RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel Over Party’s Election Prospects: ‘The Midterms Could Be Really Tough’"

Twitter Appears to Have Updated Search Results of Top GOPers After Vice News Reports on ‘Shadow Banning’

Twitter was recently approached about alleged “shadow banning” of prominent conservative users and while they didn’t exactly deny the allegations, the social media giant appears to have made changes to its platform after a recently-issued report by Vice News. The term “shadow banning” is used to describe Twitter users who haven’t been banned from the platform but their visibility is heavily diminished. The company has previously claimed such techniques are meant for trolls and racists. Vice News politics editor Alex Thompson discovered that several top Republicans were not appearing in the auto-populated drop-down search box including RNC chairwoman Ronna McDanielDonald Trump Jr.’s spokesman Andrew Surabian, and Reps. Mark Meadows (R-NC), Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Matt Gaetz (R-FL). He then compared those results to prominent Democrats including DNC chairman Tom Perez and Reps. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Keith Ellison (D-MN). Thompson documented his findings with screenshots. Thompson presented Twitter with

Ronna McDaniel‘s Wednesday night tweet about “complacency” sent a collective chill down the media’s spine. The RNC chairwoman said that anybody who doesn’t get on the MAGA bandwagon “will be making a mistake,” a choice of phrase which sparked confusion, anger, and plenty of scorn. At a time in which the GOP is divided amongst itself as to whether to continue to support President Donald Trump unflinchingly or look to more moderate leadership for guidance and hope for the future, McDaniel’s words rang like an eldritch bell chime – or simply a clumsy attempt at a threat:

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel: Claiming Russia Helped Trump is ‘Dangerous For Our Democracy’

Ronna McDaniel, niece of Mitt and chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, appeared on Fox & Friends Thursday morning alongside Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale. When asked to respond to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper‘s comments that Russia interfered in the election and threw it to Donald Trump, McDaniel went off. She hailed Trump’s campaign and bashed in Clinton’s, calling her out of touch. “I continue to think it’s a joke,” Parscale, who ran Trump’s skeletal digital strategy in 2016, investing heavily in Facebook. “I think these people take these reports from these liberal media that just make up stories.” “This is just a witch hunt,” Parscale said, referring to the investigation into the Trump campaign’s Russia ties. “It is dangerous for our democracy for them to continue to delegitimize the voters of this country,” McDaniel said. “18 months later!” Fox & Continue reading "RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel: Claiming Russia Helped Trump is ‘Dangerous For Our Democracy’"

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel Slams Clinton: Being ‘Out of Touch’ Was ‘Only Reason She Lost’

GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel was on Fox News today to talk about the future of the Republican Party… so of course, she talked about eternal nemesis of conservatives: Hillary Clinton. McDaniel appeared on the curvy couch along with President Trump‘s re-election campaign manager, Brad Parscale. As they talked about alleged conservative censorship on social media (yes, Diamond & Silk came up) and the GOP’s prospects in the midterm elections, McDaniel was asked for her opinion on former DNI chief James Clapper saying Russia swung the election in Trump’s favor. McDaniel didn’t like that, and the conversation inevitably turned towards the person Trump vanquished over a year and a half ago:
“It’s so false and James Clapper is trying to cover himself right now because he is in the hot seat. I ran Michigan. Hillary Clinton was not in our state. She did not bring a message to the voters Continue reading "RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel Slams Clinton: Being ‘Out of Touch’ Was ‘Only Reason She Lost’"

CNN’s Camerota Spars With Ronna McDaniel Over RNC’s Sex Scandals: What Does This Say About ‘Culture’?

In recent months, the Republican National Committee’s former Finance Chair Steve Wynn and top deputy Elliott Broidy, have both been involved in sexual misconduct scandals. Another top deputy, Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, has been involved as a fixer of sorts in several scandals. This begs the question which was asked Monday on New Day by Alisyn Camerota., who first listed off the RNC’s growing collection of scandals. “What does this all say about the culture at the RNC?” RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel tried to downplay the scandals — after stumbling over her response — by minimizing Wynn and Broidy’s roles. “Elliot and Steve resigned,” McDaniel said. “Obviously, the charges were troubling. We have hundreds of fundraisers.” Camerota pursued her line of questioning, as the interview grew tense. “In this Me Too moment what does it say that your finance committee is embroiled in this?” Continue reading "CNN’s Camerota Spars With Ronna McDaniel Over RNC’s Sex Scandals: What Does This Say About ‘Culture’?"

RNC Spokeswoman Writes CNN Opinion Piece Defending Jared Kushner from ‘Character Assassination’

The RNC is now going out of its way to defend… Jared Kushner. Yes, with all the scrutiny surrounding Kushner recently on his security clearance and business ties, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee has an op-ed out coming to the defense of the President’s senior advisor/son-in-law. The op-ed from Kayleigh McEnany says that far from being part of the swamp, Kushner is actually helping President Trump drain it:
As Kushner continues to make government accountable to the people, the Washington swamp — including the media and DC bureaucracy — has retaliated with a Kushner takedown effort, hiding or downplaying his accomplishments while engaging in character assassination. With little fanfare, Jared Kushner is quietly tackling Washington’s slow, outdated modus operandi while simultaneously engaging in high-level diplomacy that promotes America’s interests on the world stage.
She cites examples of what Kushner’s done over the past few days before saying the Continue reading "RNC Spokeswoman Writes CNN Opinion Piece Defending Jared Kushner from ‘Character Assassination’"

The RNC’s Refusal To Give Up Steve Wynn’s Contributions is Laughable

The #MeToo movement may have started in Hollywood, but it has spread rapidly throughout the country. More recently, it rocked Las Vegas when accusations of sexual harassment and assault were reported against Wynn Resorts CEO Steve Wynn. There are obvious comparisons that can be made between Wynn and Harvey Weinstein. Both were influential figures in the respective industries, both had their misdeeds purposefully buried by friendly media, and both were prominent contributors to political parties — with Weinstein being a heavy donor to Democrats, and Wynn contributing thousands of dollars to the RNC. Wynn also served as the RNC finance chair, a position from which he has stepped down. To their credit, Democrats rightfully donated much of the money Weinstein had given them to charity and some Republicans have already done the same with Wynn. However, the RNC has taken a firm position on the Wynn money — one Continue reading "The RNC’s Refusal To Give Up Steve Wynn’s Contributions is Laughable"

RNC Chair Deflects on Whether GOP Will Give Back Wynn Donations: ‘Should Be Allowed Due Process’

Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel gave a non-answer today when asked whether she would give back the money her organization received from Steve Wynn. The Las Vegas hotel and casino mogul resigned as the RNC’s finance chair this past weekend after reports came out about his alleged history of repeated sexual misconduct over the years. Fox News’s Sandra Smith asked McDaniel for her response to this, noting that Republican figures like Sean Spicer have said that Wyn’s contributions to the RNC should be donated. “The allegations in the Wall Street Journal were deeply troubling,” McDaniel said, “but Steve has denied these allegations, unlike Harvey Weinstein and Al Franken and others…There is an investigation that will take place. He should be allowed due process and if he is found of any wrongdoing, we will absolutely return 100% of that money. But we’ll let due process take place.” So we Continue reading "RNC Chair Deflects on Whether GOP Will Give Back Wynn Donations: ‘Should Be Allowed Due Process’"

RNC Chair Defends Trump Asking FBI Director About Election: ‘I Ask People Who They Vote For Sometimes’

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel defended President Donald Trump on CNN’s New Day over a recent report that he asked deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe who he voted for in the 2016 election during a White House meeting. Trump quizzed McCabe, who was at the time acting FBI director, after he had fired former director James Comey according  to the Washington Post. McCabe, who did not vote in the 2016 election, reportedly found the question on his political allegiances “disturbing.” For the Republican National Committee chair, however, Trump was simply exchanging pleasantries. “I know this is a big story,” McDaniel conceded, Continue reading "RNC Chair Defends Trump Asking FBI Director About Election: ‘I Ask People Who They Vote For Sometimes’"
