BREAKING: Conor Lamb Declared ‘Apparent’ Winner of Pennsylvania Special Election

After a very long night, NBC News is calling the PA-18 special election, declaring Democrat Conor Lamb the “apparent winner” over Republican Rick Saccone. That’s according to an NBC News projection that a worn-out but nonetheless cheery Steve Kornacki appeared on Morning Joe to report — watch above. Per NBC, the Democrat was leading by 641 votes with 99 percent of the votes counted, in a district President Donald Trump won by double-digits in 2016. Lamb declared victory in the race on Wednesday morning, but Saccone has yet to concede: Trump also recently Continue reading "BREAKING: Conor Lamb Declared ‘Apparent’ Winner of Pennsylvania Special Election"

‘Decency Wins’: Twitter Explodes With Joy After Doug Jones Defeats Roy Moore

After Democrat Doug Jones managed to upset GOP Senate candidate and alleged child molester Roy Moore, Twitter erupted with relief as the wild Alabama special election finally came to an end tonight. While Republicans, including President Donald Trump, had handily won the notoriously red state in recent years, Jones was able to become the first Democrat to win an Alabama Senate seat in a quarter century. The win shrunk the Republican Senate majority by one seat, leaving their lead at only 51. Notable pundits, politicians, and journalists responded to the conclusion of the crazy Senate race — that included numerous sexual child predator allegations, references to “Jew” attorneys, and calls for banning “homosexual conduct” — with tweets of joy at Jones’ victory and snarky posts railing against Trump, the RNC, and other Moore supporters:

Trump Begs Alabamans to ‘Go Vote for Roy Moore’ in Robocall: ‘It Is So Important’

“Hi, this is President Donald Trump and I need Alabama to go vote for Roy Moore. We’re already making America great again. I’m going to make America safer and stronger and better than ever before. We need that seat. We need Roy voting for us. But we need that seat. We need Roy voting for us. I am stopping illegal immigration and crime. We’re building a stronger military and protecting the Second Amendment and our pro-life values. But if Alabama elects liberal Democrat Doug Jones all of our progress will Continue reading "Trump Begs Alabamans to ‘Go Vote for Roy Moore’ in Robocall: ‘It Is So Important’"

President Trump Tweets His Closing Argument For Karen Handel: ‘VOTE TODAY’

trump Today is finally election day in Georgia’s special congressional election. — Yes, we’re happy it’s over too. The battle for the 6th district seat once held by ex-Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has consumed both parties in recent weeks, becoming the most expensive House race in U.S. history. The nail biter contest pits Republican Karen Handel against Democrat Jon Ossoff. Like much of the political peanut gallery, President Donald Trump has also been keenly following the contest. On Tuesday, the Commander in Chief took to Twitter to issue his closing argument for Handel and slamming her challenger. His final pitch ultimately took a traditional GOP flavor, praising Handel for championing “lower taxes” and “strong security” and hitting Ossoff as a tax and spend liberal.
