2019 is so woke that you don’t even need to be white to be accused of “white privilege” anymore. CNN analyst Areva Martin mistakenly accused Sirius XM radio host and Fox News Contributor David Webb for his “white privilege” because of his views on race Tuesday morning, to which Webb responded… that he’s black. In a debate on his show about what makes some people qualified for certain jobs over others, Webb said as a general rule when applying for jobs he cares more about his work-related expertise and experience, not skin color. “That’s a whole ‘nother long conversation about white privilege, the things that you have the privilege of doing, that people of color don’t have the privilege of,” said guest Martin. Confused, Webb asked, “How do I have the privilege of white privilege?” “David… by virtue of being a white male you have white privilege,” Martin began, when Webb Continue reading "CNN Analyst Calls Out Fox News’ David Webb On-Air For ‘White Privilege’. Colton Underwood, America’s first virgin “Bachelor”, sat down with comedian Billy Eichner for a serious man-to-man talk on Monday’s episode of ABC’s hit show. Eichner grilled the 26-year-old Bachelor star, who has never experienced sexual intercourse, on his commitment to remain abstinent until he falls in love. “You’re gonna wait until you get married?” asks Eichner. “I’m gonna wait until I’m in love,” Underwood says, flashing a subtle smile, because he knows at least twenty girls in the background are swooning over him. “Fine, you get an award,” says Eichner, skeptically, “but let’s say then you have sex, and the sex is bad?” When Underwood suggests he expects the sex will get better if he’s in love with a woman, Eichner shakes his head, adding in an aside that he’s never seen this many virgins since he had guest-hosted The View. “I’m gay. I know that’s a Continue reading "Billy Eichner Grills Virgin ‘Bachelor’ Colton Underwood: Maybe You’re Gay And ‘We Don’t Even Know’ Yet"

https://grabien.com/file.php?id=532105 In response to criticism from President Donald Trump, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said he would not resign if he were asked. “If the President asked you to resign, would you do it?” Powell was asked by a panelist at the annual American Economics Association conference Friday morning, to which he answered swiftly, “No.” Powell had been sitting next to former Federal Reserve chairmen Janet Yellen and Ben Bernanke when he was asked about his impending meetings with the President regarding Fed policy, which the President has emphasized in the past as the number one problem with the economy. “Nothing’s been scheduled, I would say that meetings between presidents and Fed chairs do happen,” he told moderator and New York Times reporter Neil Irwin. “I can’t think of any Fed chairs who didn’t eventually meet with the president, but again nothing has been Continue reading "Watch Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s Icy Reply to Question About Whether He’d Resign if Trump Asked: ‘No’"

American Conservative Union chairman, lobbyist, and cable news regular Matt Schlapp says he is considering running for the Senate in 2020 if Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS) retires, as expected. According to the Washington Examiner, Schlapp was answering phone calls on the subject earlier Friday afternoon, right before Roberts announced he is not going to run for office again in 2020. “I think we have so many good people that could take over,” Roberts said, adding the GOP has good contenders for the Kansas Senate both “inside the congressional delegation and outside the congressional delegation.” Another potential candidate being considered by the national GOP is Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who has yet to make it clear whether he would ever consider running. Schlapp, an outspoken Trump supporter, spent five years as the chief of staff to former Kansas congressman Todd Tiahrt, and two years working for Continue reading "CPAC Chair and Cable News Regular Matt Schlapp Says He’s Considering Senate Run"

Joy Behar fought back against her colleagues on The View Friday, defending Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI)’s calls to “impeach that motherf*cker,” President Donald Trump. Asked what she thought of Tlaib’s comments, one panelist said she doesn’t think Democrats rallying for Trump’s impeachment instead of focusing on their own policies is going to work out well for them in the long-term, citing past Republicans’ calls to impeach former president Bill Clinton and adding she found the language offensive. “She said that she was telling that to her kids,” said Abby Huntsman. “She’s got two sons, one is 13 and 7. I hope she didn’t use that exact language.” Ana Navarro nodded in agreement with Huntsman, saying she also had a problem with the language Tlaib used. “I find it offensive,” Navarro said. “Listen, we spend a lot of time criticizing president loco, individual one, whatever you want to call [him], Continue reading "Joy Behar Fights Off View-Mates, Defends Rep. Pizza Hut UK has a new vegan pizza on their menu, and they want everybody — especially television personality Piers Morgan — to know. “Here’s a picture of our new vegan Pizza. Everyone tag Piers Morgan in it to ruin his day,” the chain pizza restaurant tweeted Thursday, tagging the Twitter page of Greggs — a UK bakery that had just been involved in a Twitter squabble with Morgan the day earlier. Morgan had clapped back at Greggs for posting a video of their new vegan sausage roll by mocking their latest embrace of veganism. “Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns,” he quote tweeted them.

Senator Krysten Sinema took her oath of office yesterday as a Democratic Senator from Arizona– and people are taking notice. As one can see in the video above, Vice President Mike Pence directs Sinema to her position and ha her repeat the standard oath of allegiance to the Constitution, then congratulating her. “Congratulations, Senator. I look forward to working with you. It’s very humbling. More than I could tell you. It really is,” says Pence, repeating in emphasis, “So, congratulations to you. Look forward to working with you.” Sinema’s swearing-in by Pence was rather unconventional compared to that of her peers. She is the first openly bisexual member of the Senate, the first member of Congress to openly identify as religiously unaffiliated, and she brought a copy of the United States Constitution to hold instead of a Bible. “Kyrsten always gets sworn in on a Constitution simply because of Continue reading "Watch Mike Pence Swear In Krysten Sinema, the First Out Bisexual Senator in History"

New York Times Reporter Stuns MSNBC Panel by Arguing Trump Has ‘Drained the Swamp’

A New York Times reporter shocked a live MSNBC panel today by arguing President Donald Trump has, in fact, ‘Drained the Swamp’ in Washington, D.C. by bringing in new government officials to replace the old “establishment.” The comment was in response to MSNBC host Katy Tur‘s argument that Trump won on a promise he did not deliver, which is that he would “drain the swamp.” “Part of the reason he won was that he was gonna drain the swamp, he was gonna get new people involved — how come he’s not… what does it mean for 2020?” she asked. You may have expected the Times’ Bret Stephens to be the one snapping back with an explanation, since he has shown sympathy to the President in the past and is often branded a “neoconservative” because of his views on foreign policy. But today’s elephant-in-the-room Continue reading "New York Times Reporter Stuns MSNBC Panel by Arguing Trump Has ‘Drained the Swamp’"

President Donald Trump is preparing Americans for the world ending. In an intense video he tweeted out this afternoon, he promises to “build the wall,” as crowds of people are heard chanting,  “Build the wall! Build the wall!” in the background: The President’s video decries the “crisis on the border,” which is causing an uptick in “crime, drugs, and lawlessness” across the border and includes a clip of Senator Chuck Schumer denouncing illegal immigration. With the government shutdown nearing its second week, the fight over border wall funding has apparently led to short-form viral videos designed to scare up support for the border wall agenda that helped get him elected.

“We The People Will Fund the Wall,” a GoFundMe campaign to independently raise funds for President Donald Trump‘s proposed border wall amid a government shutdown, has raised almost $19 million of its $1 billion goal in less than 17 days. Organized by 37-year-old triple-amputee Iraq war veteran Brian Kolfage just days before the new year, the Trump wall GoFundMe is the platform’s second most successful campaign of 2018 (the first being the Time’s Up Legal Defense to combat workplace sexual violence.) Newsweek’s David Brennan calculates it would take a little over two years for the campaign to hit its $1 billion goal at its current rate. Kolfage’s wall campaign has raised more than that of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivors’ funding ($10 million) and the March for our Lives fund ($3.5 million) combined. The campaign’s rapid growth has led others to respond with their own Continue reading "Trump Border Wall GoFundMe Approaches $19 Million"

MSNBC’s Ari Melber wants President Donald Trump to learn a lesson from Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child: Pay our bills! In a segment dedicated to the president’s campaign promise that Mexico would pay for his proposed southern border wall, Melber likened Trump to “a scrub who runs up the tab” at a bar and makes someone else pay for it at the last minute. In Trump’s case, that would be saying Mexico will pay for the wall and then getting the money from taxpayers instead. “We all know someone like this… when the bill comes, all of a sudden they’re acting dumb,” Melber says. “Beyoncé diagnosed that type of person in the classic, Bills, bills, bills by Destiny’s Child.” “‘Can you pay my bills? Can you pay my telephone bills? Do you pay my automobiles? If you did, then maybe we could chill,'” Melber sounded off, adding, “But we can’t Continue reading "‘We Can’t Chill’: Ari Melber Invokes Destiny’s Child to Teach ‘Scrub’ Trump to Pay His Bills"

Newly elected House Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants you to know that despite her accomplishments at such a young age, she’s “still Alex from the Bronx.” “Don’t be fooled by the plaques that we got, I’m still / I’m still Alex from the Bronx,” she tweeted with music emojis, on her first day. Ocasio-Cortez’s comments stirred a wave of mockery on social media, as her critics were quick to point out she grew up mostly in Westchester — rather than the hard-scrabble streets of the Bronx.

When asked by the Today Show‘s Savannah Guthrie whether she plans to provide money for President Trump’s proposed border wall, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says she doesn’t plan to give a penny. “We can go through this back and forth. No,” she said. “How many more times can we say ‘no’? Nothing for the wall.” The brief clip was shared by the Today Show on social media as a preview to an exclusive interview with Pelosi, to be aired tomorrow and likely to focus on her becoming House speaker again and the shutdown, Continue reading "Pelosi to Trump: ‘Nothing for the Wall’"

Rick Wilson: Romney Said What Most Elected Republicans Think, But Don’t Say in Public

Three-time failed presidential nominee and incoming Utah Senator Mitt Romney‘s scathing Washington Post piece on President Donald Trump‘s “lack of character” may be unpopular among Republican populists, but has backstairs support from elected Republican officials– at least, according to Republican strategist Rick Wilson. In an op-ed to the Daily Beast, Wilson claims Romney’s opinions about Trump are widely yet covertly supported by elected Republicans in Washington, who are too afraid to criticize the President publicly. “Mitt Romney’s editorial is making the rounds for speaking the words that much of the GOP lacks the courage to put their names behind,” Wilson writes. “Many of the voices rising to condemn him are secretly whispering, ‘Mitt, it was great. I agree with you, but I have to defend him, you know. I’ve got to worry about a primary…'” Wilson’s piece is full of creative analogies and poetic descriptions, such as Continue reading "Rick Wilson: Romney Said What Most Elected Republicans Think, But Don’t Say in Public"

IRS Wants to Use Facebook and Other Social Media Platforms to Track Down Tax Cheaters

Facebook is everywhere– the social media platform tracks your location, knows all your contacts, sees your activity online and even offline, and gathers current and past information on you using your profile, preference settings, and personal images. You already knew all that… and somehow, you’re okay with it. But what if you found out the government wants to use Facebook to monitor you and possibly prosecute you for being late on your taxes? You’d probably be a bit rattled. In response to a FOIA request from private businesses, the Internal Revenue Service said it is looking for a tool to help it check social media feeds, blogs, and websites to find out if people are violating the federal tax code. “Businesses and individuals increasingly use social media to advertise, promote, and sell products and services,” the FOIA response reads. “But the IRS currently has no formal tool to access this Continue reading "IRS Wants to Use Facebook and Other Social Media Platforms to Track Down Tax Cheaters"
