Fox News host Jesse Watters took time out of his interview with Donald Trump Jr. to praise President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign rally and bash other media outlets’ coverage of the event.
Watters offered up his criticism of the media to Trump Jr. during his interview with the president’s son on Watters’ World Saturday night.
“The media was totally disrespectful of this speech. You have an incumbent president officially launching his candidacy for reelection in primetime in a key swing state in Florida. And they don’t seriously analyze this and how he’s framing the issue,” Watters said.
Watters then played a clip of various shows criticizing Trump’s Orlando rally this week.
“The media–the more they attack the president the stronger the bond is between his supporters and him,” Watters said.
Trump Jr. agreed saying “the level of hate and disdain the media has for these hard working people, now they Continue reading "Jesse Watters Teams with Don Jr. to Bash Media Outlets, Praise President Trump"
Fox News’ Greg Gutfield blasted CNN for cutting away early from President Donald Trump’s Orlando campaign rally, arguing the network isn’t “allowed” to cut away early.
“Once CNN was criticized they turned it off. You are a news network. You are not allowed to turn it off. We can change the channel, but you are a cable news network,” Gutfield said. “They react emotionally to this. … all that is left you can go after his personality and micro-flaws in Tweets.”
Jesse Watters agreed, saying “the media did not treat it the way it would treat a normal president in these times. … They didn’t discuss it seriously.”
The Five mainly had praise for Trump’s designated campaign launch Tuesday night, save Juan Williams who called the rally “boring.”
“It seems to me that my experience of it was so disappointing, it was boring,” he said.
“I heard Continue reading "Greg Gutfeld Goes Off on CNN for Cutting Away From Trump Rally: ‘You’re Not Allowed to Turn It Off!’"
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld joked that his fellow panel member Jesse Watters was “auditioning for Infowars” after he alleged on The Five on Tuesday that the string of U.S. tourist deaths in the Dominican Republic is part of a conspiracy by a competing island to damage the Caribbean nation’s tourism industry.
“I found out today that someone perished at Hotel Excellence, the very place I stayed in November. This really is hitting home to me personally,” Watters said. “My theory is… Caribbean sabotage: another island that’s competing for tourism dollars, perhaps it’s Puerto Rico. I’m not going to name names.”
Gutfeld replied by noting Watters “just named names,” which led to his co-host doubling down on the wild claims.
“A saboteur has infiltrated some of these hotels in order to swing some of the tourism dollars back to their island,” Watters continued. “Also they share a border with Continue reading "Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld Teases Jesse Watters Over Dominican Republic Speculation: ‘Are You Auditioning for InfoWars?’"
The hosts of Fox News’ The Five today mocked liberals for pushing the “conspiracy” and “delusion” that President Donald Trump would refuse to leave the White House if he loses in 2020.
Bill Maher in particular has expressed this concern, which he reiterated on CNN last week. Greg Gutfeld mocked the “apocalyptic fears” and credited the president for “having some fun” on Twitter:
A poll should be done on which is the more dishonest and deceitful newspaper, the Failing New York Times or the Amazon (lobbyist) Washington Post! They are both a disgrace to our Country, the Enemy of the People, but I just can’t seem to figure out which is worse? The good…..
On Fox News’ The Five Friday, Juan Williams and Jesse Watters tussled over President Donald Trump‘s comments about accepting foreign dirt in 2020 and whether the media’s being hypocritical in its coverage.
Trump has since tried to clarify those remarks and say that he’d “report it to law enforcement absolutely.”
Before getting into that issue, Watters brought up how Kim Kardashian was at the White House for an “excellent event.” Williams laughed a bit and Watters said, “If she was there at the Ibama White House, we’d be reading story after story about what an amazing event this was.”
Williams responded by saying in that case, “I would tune in on the weekend to Watters World and he would mock Obama for having another reality show, being so superficial…”
Williams went on to note Trump’s backpedaling on the foreign dirt issue. Watters countered, “You have still Continue reading "Fox’s Juan Williams and Jesse Watters Clash Over Trump Comments on Foreign Dirt: ‘You’re Having a Fever Dream’"
Fox News’ The Five heavily praised departing White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders following her announcement she is leaving the Donald Trump administration.
“She was one of the trusted advisors of the president. In addition doing the press secretary role, she is somebody who he used as a counselor,” host Dana Perino told Jesse Watters.
“She was in his inner circle, and it speaks to her talent and grace and compassion and intellect. She is going to be really missed because she was a real crusader for the Trump agenda,” Watters said.
Those press conferences, we don’t see them as much as we used to but they can be very, very entertaining and combative,” Watters continued. Perino noted it has been over three months since her last press briefing.
Katie Pavlich also praised Sanders. “Being in the room with Sarah Sanders when she was giving those briefings, it was hot Continue reading "Fox’s The Five Fawns Over Sarah Sanders: She Handled Press Briefings With ‘Grace’"
The hosts of Fox News’ The Five mocked today’s big House Judiciary Committee hearing with former Nixon White House counsel John Dean and questioned his relevance there.
Dean spoke on parallels between President Donald Trump‘s actions and Richard Nixon‘s.
Dana Perino noted how cable news was sticking with coverage of the helicopter crash in New York instead of broadcasting much of the hearing, which she said was “probably good for Democrats” because “it’s probably better for you not to have this one being the one you lead off in June.”
Jesse Watters said of Dean, “He’s not a witness to anything!… No one knows who he is. He is a CNN contributor, which makes perfect sense that a CNN guy is a witness in their fake Russia collusion story. He witnessed something almost 50 years ago. So I don’t know what that adds.”
“Every time Continue reading "Fox News Hosts Mock John Dean Hearing: ‘No One Knows Who He Is’"
The Five covered the Los Angeles crisis of homelessness on Monday, and host Jesse Watters proposed a solution: bulldoze the affected areas and institutionalize the homeless there.
The Fox News show covered the California city’s homelessness problem amid reports that Skid Row, a 50-block area in Los Angeles reportedly containing thousands of homeless people, has become plagued with rats and garbage. One LAPD officer reportedly developed typhoid after visiting the area.
Watters claimed he once visited Skid Row with a camera crew and “we wouldn’t leave the car, because it was so dangerous.”
“We saw drugged-out zombies chasing barefooted babies through piles of garbage with hypodermic needles and fire everywhere,” Watters said. “It was one of the most depraved and disgusting thing I have ever seen in my life.”
“You only have one solution: You bulldoze the 50-block radius and you institutionalize everybody and detoxify them and then Continue reading "Jesse Watters Proposes Solution on LA Homelessness: ‘You Bulldoze’ the Radius and ‘Institutionalize Everybody’"
Gutfield was commenting on how ubiquitous Avenatti was on cable news prior to his fall during The Five Thursday evening.
“To his credit, he showed how easy it is to commandeer the media. What were their weaknesses? To ruin Trump and [Brett] Kavanaugh. He jumped on the horse and rode it to CNN’s guest heap,” Gutfield noted.
But Gutfield also noted the sentencing guidelines appeared high. “He’s getting 400 years. I mean he’s not the Taliban,” Gutfield noted.
CNN media critic Brian Stelter lamented the success of Fox News Channel everything critic Mark Levin‘s book Unfreedom of the Press – already #1 on Amazon a day before it is released – in his newsletter on Sunday night, and conservative media criticism website Newsbusters pointed it out on Twitter.
That prompted a retweet from Levin and now here we are.
Starting at the beginning, this is the excerpt from Stelter’s newsletter.
Mark Levin’s hate-the-media book is No. 1
Right-wing commentator Mark Levin‘s book “Unfreedom of the Press” comes out Tuesday. Thanks to his numerous plugs on the radio and on Fox, he’s at No. 1 on Amazon’s hardcover and paperback book chart right now, ahead of Howard Stern‘s new book. His overarching message: You can’t trust the press…

Fox News host Jesse Watters sat down with longshot perennial presidential candidate Vermin Supreme on Saturday night.
The interview was at times downright bizarre.
Supreme –wearing his trademark boot on his head — started off by insisting he saw Joe Biden working for the TSA.
“Unfortunately, he fell asleep while he was sniffing my wife’s hair,” Supreme joked.
“Sleepy Joe!” Watters laughed.
He later said that to run for president you have to prove your a “regular guy.”
“Gotta prove you’re a regular guy and you do regular things all the time,” he said, just after making odd noises on live TV. “I’m just a regular guy…I got a haircut once, look at that.”
At one point spinning in his chair and looking away from Watters, Supreme also offered this insight: “Gingivitis has been eroding the gum line of this great nation of ours for long enough Continue reading "Man With Boot on His Head Vermin Supreme Goes on Watters World to Talk 2020, Mock Joe Biden"
The hosts of Fox News’ The Five got heated this afternoon over the multiple Democratic-led House committees investigating and fighting with the White House, issuing subpoenas and threatening to hold more individuals in contempt.
“What is the next subway stop on this crazy train?” Gutfeld said. He asked if Democrats are now at “contempt, let’s arrest everybody,” what’s the next stop.
He said all this fervor is a “circus born from team-sport politics” helped out by the media.
Jesse Watters said the Democrats are now “fee-wheeling sheriffs,” before arguing that the calls for jailing Trump administration officials are alarming and serious, unlike “lock her up!”:
By now you’ve either seen or heard about Seth Meyers‘ interview with Meghan McCain, in which he pressed the View co-host on her recent comments about Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and they tussled a bit. McCain’s husband Ben Domenechwent on a tear blasting Meyers (in since-deleted tweets), calling him at one point an “untalented piece of shit who only has his job because he regularly gargled Lorne Michaels’ balls.”
On The Five today, Greg Gutfeld said his issue with the segment was that Meyers hosts “a comedy show, not public access.”
“It’s not entertaining and it’s not funny,” he said. “He was almost humorous on SNL, but now he’s retreated into never-funny zone.”
Gutfeld added that he thinks Meyers’ staff was “scratching their heads” at the segment and that Meyers looked like he was “operating as a white knight for Omar.”

Fox News’ Jesse Watters started off his show on Saturday by mocking Joe Biden for his crowd size and Trumpian-sounding motto.
Watters started off by saying that only 600 people showed up to Biden’s event in Pittsburgh.
“600 people showed up,” Watters said. “Here’s a little side-by-side of Joe’s audience and President Trump’s audience from last week.”
He then said Trump reached a “full-capacity” crowd of 12,000 and people were waiting outside while a 600 estimate for Biden’s crowd seemed generous.
“No one is driving hours and hours to hear Joe Biden speak,” Watters snarked.
The Fox News host then lit into Biden over talk about his motto.
Speaking on Good Morning America in a clip played by Watters, Biden was asked since Trump has a motto, does he have one.
Biden replied: “Make America moral again, make America return to the essence of who we are.”

Fox News’ Jesse Watters took a swipe today at reporters at other networks who have critically covered Facebook for keeping individuals like Alex Jones on their platforms.
Facebook this week banned individuals like Jones, Louis Farrakhan, and Milo Yiannopoulos, saying in a statement, “We’ve always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology. The process for evaluating potential violators is extensive and it is what led us to our decision to remove these accounts today.”
On The Five today, as the hosts talked about Facebook’s move and whether it was the right decision, Watters said, “There’s also guys on CNN that spend their whole day calling Facebook and saying, ‘Can you ban this person? Can you please ban this person?'”
“It’s pretty pathetic,” he said, “if you work for a media company and you’re supposed to be all Continue reading "Fox News’ Jesse Watters Hits ‘Guys on CNN’ for Their Reporting on Facebook Bans; CNN Reporter Responds"
The hosts of The Five mocked MSNBC and CNN pundits for saying President Donald Trump is worried former Vice President Joe Biden can beat him in 2020, as Greg Gutfeld his cable news rivals are instead projecting because “they need Biden” to get back the status quo that Trump shook up.
“Biden once again taking aim at President Trump and now his candidacy is getting a big boost from the media,” Watters said, before airing a clip of MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough saying Trump is “really scared of Biden.”
In two other clips, New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman can be seen saying Trump believes Biden can win over “the white working-class voters who elected him last time,” while CNN host Don Lemon said the president’s aides are telling him behind the scenes to not pick a fight with Biden, who the host said stuck a “nerve” of Continue reading "Fox News’ The Five Attacks CNN, MSNBC For Giving Biden a ‘Big Boost’: The Media ‘Needs’ Him"
On Fox News’ The Five today, Juan Williams got heated with Jesse Watters over the issue of white nationalist terror in the U.S. following the horrific synagogue shooting this past weekend.
Dana Perino and Greg Gutfeld noted how there’s been very little reporting on the shooter’s name and how that’s a sign of progress in coverage.
At one point during the discussion, Williams said, “I just can’t believe we’re not talking about white nationalism at this table.”
He said there’s a clear “epidemic of white nationalist terror” in the U.S. and if the attack “was al-Qaeda or ISIS,” the conversation would be very different.
Williams brought up stats on anti-Semitic attacks and said while he wouldn’t point fingers, “you have a situation in which lots of people who are on 8chan and all of these things identify with Trump and do think that they have been unleashed Continue reading "Fox’s Juan Williams, Jesse Watters Clash After Synagogue Shooting: ‘It’s Not All Sides, It’s White Nationalist Terrorism!’"
Fox News host Jesse Watters went on a tear against Joe Biden’s first rally as a 2020 candidate — even speculating that the former vice president had cosmetic surgery done before the event.
Watters said Biden’s rally, which went down in Pittsburgh Monday afternoon, was “weak” and poorly attended. “The people behind him looked bored,” Watters continued before invoking Trump’s criticism of Biden: “He looked like he was trying to counteract the Sleepy Joe narrative that has been forming. He was stumbling all over his lines, couldn’t read the prompter well, he was stepping on things. He just did not look polished. He looked extremely rusty.”
The Fox News added that “a lot of the people back in hair and makeup said they thought that he had fillers in, and botox.”
“I didn’t say that, but a lot of the people in hair and makeup said that,” Watters Continue reading "Fox News Host Jesse Watters Suggests Joe Biden Had ‘Botox’ and ‘Fillers’ at First 2020 Rally"
Juan Williams mixed it up with his colleagues on The Five Wednesday in a heated debate over the prospect of impeachment, and whether or not President Donald Trump has been transparent.
After Jesse Watters argued that any impeachment charges are “not going to stick” because Democrats can’t “name the crime that they are impeaching him for,” Williams promptly named the crime.
“Obstruction of justice,” he said.
“How did he do that?” Watters asked.
Williams replied by stating that Trump told White House counsel Don McGahn to fire Robert Mueller.
From there, a broader evaluation of the Trump presidency ensued.
“How’s the country going so far, Juan?” Greg Gutfeld asked.
“I don’t think [it’s] going so well,” Williams said. He added, “You also say that he’s the most transparent president ever. If he’s so transparent, why is he trying to stop Don McGahn from testifying?”
“Because enough is Continue reading "Juan Williams Battles Five Colleagues in Fiery Debate on Impeachment: ‘All You Can Do is Shout’"
Fox News’ The Five clashed during a segment today on allowing felons to vote, as 2020 Democratic presidential candidates Sens. Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris have recently discussed various forms of felon enfranchisement.
“Bernie wants felons to vote because he knows that they will vote Democrat,” co-host Greg Gutfeld speculated after noting that Sanders wants to allow felons to vote while incarcerated.
Williams then argued for Harris’ plan, which is to reinstate voting rights once a felon is released from prison, saying that if a person “can’t reenter society” after incarceration, then it will result in a “high level of people going back to crime.”
Watters then jumped in with the hottest take of the segment.
“Democrats want terrorists to vote. Think about that one, Greg,” the Watters World host said. “They just handed Donald Trump the wedge-ist of wedge issues. Juan, I have a question. Are Democrats trying Continue reading "The Five Clashes Over Felons Getting Voting Rights: ‘Wow, You Think Willie Horton Is Good News?’"
