Kanye West, also known as Ye, took to Twitter on New Year’s Day to let everyone know that even though it is now 2019,  he still loves Donald Trump and is not about to give up wearing his MAGA hat. “Trump all day…” West tweeted, followed up with, “Just so in 2019 you know where I stand.” West was just getting started. During his tweeted out rant he also had some thoughts about blacks and the Democratic Party that sounded a bit like Blexit talk. In a confusing series of events in 2018, West allegedly designed shirts for Turning Point USA’s Candace Owen‘s Blexit movement  — a movement aimed at getting black people to leave the Democratic Party — and then after the designs

CNN’s Erin Burnett: Trump Scolding Reporters Isn’t About ‘Decorum,’ It’s About ‘Controlling the Press’

At the top of her show on Friday, CNN’s Erin Burnett pushed back on President Donald Trump‘s claims that he will impose rules and regulations on the press to ensure “decorum and respect” at the White House. Asked by reporters about what he meant by rules and regulations he plans to impose in wake of Jim Acosta‘s hard pass reinstatement, Trump insisted “you have to act with respect” in the White House. “You can’t take three questions and four questions and just stand up and not sit down,” Trump scolded the reporters. “Decorum. We have to practice decorum. You were there. You understood, and you understand we want total freedom of the press. That’s very important to me. It’s more important to me than anybody would believe. But you have to act with respect. You’re in the White House.” After playing the clip of Trump’s words,  Burnett Continue reading "CNN’s Erin Burnett: Trump Scolding Reporters Isn’t About ‘Decorum,’ It’s About ‘Controlling the Press’"

Candace Owens and Tomi Lahren Clash on Twitter After Kanye Tweets: ‘Sorry About Your Failed Career’

Candace Owens got into a Twitter fight with Tomi Lahren today after Lahren tweeted about Kanye West‘s supposed break from the right. To recap: West, whose foray into politics this year began with his very public endorsement of Owens, tweeted yesterday he’s stepping away from politics and said, “I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in.” Owens said in a statement that it’s a lie to say West helped design the t-shirts for her “BLEXIT” campaign, but she added, “I am a leader, and I would like to lead in this moment by stating that any and all confusion relating to this topic is therefore my fault, entirely. I would also like to publicly apologize to President Trump, as I know that Kanye’s tweets were rapidly misinterpreted as a shot to this administration. His tweets were aimed at me and me only, rightfully, for my personal Continue reading "Candace Owens and Tomi Lahren Clash on Twitter After Kanye Tweets: ‘Sorry About Your Failed Career’"

Chris Cuomo Reflects on Media Coverage of Kanye After He Steps Back from Politics: ‘Shame on Us’

CNN host Chris Cuomo cast “shame on” the media for being “all over” Kanye West’s support for President Donald Trump, as he appeared to suggest the coverage of the rapper was “exploitative,” while Don Lemon cheered his newly announced departure from political ventures. “So less than a month after the Oval Office sitdown, Kanye West says he needs distance from politics. Good choice,” Cuomo said. “Right move for Kanye D. Lemon?” Lemon prefaced his answer by saying he doesn’t want “to beat up on Kanye anymore.” “I don’t mean this in a derogatory way — he’s dealing with some issues. It seems to me from these tweets he is probably dealing with them, which is a good thing,” Lemon said. “Without the knowledge of history and perhaps reading a little bit more, that he should not be talking about and addressing the issues that he was addressing, because he Continue reading "Chris Cuomo Reflects on Media Coverage of Kanye After He Steps Back from Politics: ‘Shame on Us’"

Kanye West Surprised Kanye West got a lot of attention for his very public embrace of MAGA earlier this year, but now it’s starting to sound like he’s distancing himself from people he’s become politically aligned with. West first tweeted what his actual beliefs are and thanked the people who supported him in that:

Rap artist, Oval Office pontificator and now t-shirt designer Kanye West is hoping his new shirts will encourage black people to leave the Democratic Party. West’s designs made their debut at Turning Point USA’s Young Black Leadership Summit. West wasn’t there. TPUSA’s Communications Director Candace Owens, though, gushed about the conversation-starting designs and “fellow superhero” West “Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West,” she said, according to Page Six.  She added: “[West] has taken one of the boldest steps in America to open a conversation we have needed to have.” The t-shirts come in various colors, including bright orange and teal, and sport the slogan “Blexit” and “We Free.”

Some may call it “clickbait,” other will it “fake news.” Elle Magazine‘s official Twitter account “reported,” Thursday, that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are “splitting up.” However, when you click on the link, it directs you not to an article on a Kanye-Kim breakup. But, rather, a page encouraging people to register to vote. The trick drew heavy backlash:

New York Times Scraps Discussion With Kanye West After Charlamagne Tha God Says It ‘Would Not Be Productive’

Charlamagne Tha God announced today that his New York Times event with pro-Trump rapper Kanye West has been scrapped. In an Instagram post, the radio host explained why he cancelled the event:
“Normalizing being mentally healthy is a conversation that I really wanted to have with Kanye because he’s been so vocal about his own mental health struggles. Unfortunately I think to have that conversation with him right now would not be productive and a total distraction from the point of the convo which is to eradicate the stigma of mental health especially in the black community.”

Ice-T Slams Kanye West’s Oval Office Meeting: ‘Why the F*ck You Meeting with a Rat?’

Ice-T has some strong feelings about Kanye West and his Oval Office meeting with Donald Trump. TMZ caught up with Ice-T in New York City on Saturday. When asked about Kanye West’s Oval Office meeting and if West was a “sellout”, he said this: “There’s no way in God’s earth that I would meet Donald Trump. I don’t see the sense in talking to someone who you obviously can’t change their mind, who obviously already has their opinion about us, you know, being the Black community or whatever. And I don’t see any use in it. Trump will take advantage of you. He’ll use you. He’ll use you for his photo op. You’ll put on the hat for a minute, throw it to the side and he’s back to his bullsh*t.” Then after saying both Trump and West are very similar people, he added: “Let’s put it like this. Jedediah Bila Slams Kanye Critics: ‘There Has Been a Character Assassination Against This Guy’

Though Kanye West has been hit with a wave backlash for last week’s Oval Office visit with President Donald Trump, not everyone in the media feels the rapper deserved the criticism. Appearing on Fox News’ MediaBuzz Sunday, Jedediah Bila, a former co-host on The View, went as far as calling the reaction a “media meltdown.” “Whether you like Kanye or not, there has been a character assassination against this guy,” she said. “You don’t have to agree with everything he says, but you do have to defend his right to say it. He just like every other celebrity that has walked into that White House from a former administration has a right to, if he has a platform, to make his voice heard. There’s no reason why he should be described as all those horrible things.” CNN’s Don Lemon ruffled feathers Thursday during his commentary Continue reading "Jedediah Bila Slams Kanye Critics: ‘There Has Been a Character Assassination Against This Guy’"

Alec Baldwin Returns to SNL as Trump to Face Kanye West in Oval Office: ‘Oh My God, He’s Black Me!’

Saturday Night Live had plenty of political material to work with for this week’s cold open. Kanye West‘s Oval Office monologue, though,  proved just too tempting for the SNL writers, who used the first minutes of the show to skewer West’s screed. The open also marked the return of Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump.  “Have I lost anyone so far?” SNL’s West — as played by Chris Redd — asked shortly after going headlong into his incoherent, conspiracy theory-ridden word salad,  prompting members of the media to raise their hand. Much of the sketch, though,  was devoted to revealing what Trump and other others in the room were really thinking during West’s rant. “He doesn’t stop. He doesn’t listen to anyone but himself. Who does he remind me of?”  Trump’s inner voice says. “Oh my God, he’s black me,” the inner voice Trump says at another moment. At Continue reading "Alec Baldwin Returns to SNL as Trump to Face Kanye West in Oval Office: ‘Oh My God, He’s Black Me!’"

Kanye West live streamed a 10-minute video of himself on Saturday night, in which he claimed that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said he was working on reprogramming Twitter to remove followers and likes. In a live stream video on Periscope titled “Mind control” — which you can watch above — the rapper, producer and designer spoke out about his controversial appearance in the White House alongside President Donald Trump. He pushed back on his critics, accusing them of trying to control him and offered criticism of social media — even invoking Ayn Rand. West also revealed that he had spoken to Dorsey earlier on Saturday. “[Dorsey] said they’re working for the next four months on reprogramming to allow people to take off the followers, and allow people to take off the, you know, take off the likes. Because that works against your self-worth,” West said. “The beauty you have is Continue reading "Kanye West Says Jack Dorsey Working on ‘Reprogramming’ Twitter to Allow People to Remove Followers and Likes"

Tucker Carlson Compares Don Lemon to 1960s Segregationists For Criticizing Kanye West

Tucker Carlson compared Don Lemon to southern segregationists because of the CNN host’s criticisms of Kanye West‘s appearance in the White House. “What I saw was a minstrel show today,” Lemon said Thursday of West’s frenetic tirade before President Donald Trump in the Oval Office. “Him in front of all these white people, mostly with people, embarrassing himself and embarrassing Americans, but mostly African Americans.” Carlson played the clip, saying: “According to Don Lemon, Kanye West’s skin color means that he is required to behave in a very specific way. If he chooses to behave in any other way he should be punished. Because according to Don Lemon, Kanye West’s race is his race is his destiny, it defines everything about him.” (Lemon didn’t say any of these things, but who are we to get in the way of Carlson’s well-crafted strawman). “People used to talk like this 50 Continue reading "Tucker Carlson Compares Don Lemon to 1960s Segregationists For Criticizing Kanye West"

The Media’s Vicious, Race-Baiting Coverage of Kanye West Exposes Their Ideological Intolerance

Kanye West rocked the political world with his visit to the White House on Friday, giving a full throated expression of support for President Donald Trump. Whether you call it a speech, rant, monologue, or a stunning stream of consciousness, what occurred in the Oval Office was an event we like have never witnessed. It was unscripted, unpredictable, and completely wild. Some points had you laughing while others had you asking, “What on earth is he talking about?” Kanye West has remained defiant ever since he came out of the pro-Trump closet. Despite the mockery and pressure he faced from his liberal peers in Hollywood, he has fully embraced his inner MAGA. He was mocked for his recent SNL appearance where he wore the Make America Great Again hat and gave a pro-Trump speech. Cast member Pete Davidson shamed the rapper saying “being mentally ill is not an  Continue reading "The Media’s Vicious, Race-Baiting Coverage of Kanye West Exposes Their Ideological Intolerance"

Outnumbered Cries ‘Fascism’ Over Trump-Kanye Summit Criticism: Media Has a ‘Holier-Than-Thou’ Attitude

Outnumbered had a field day on Friday as they reacted to the media blowup that resulted from Kanye West‘s wild Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump. After the panel reviewed the reactions from CNN’s Don Lemon and other critics of the summit, Dagen McDowell called it “offensive” and “beyond the pale” for critics to dismiss West as mentally ill or a pawn for Trump. Melissa Francis followed up by saying the Left considers everyone racist or crazy if they don’t subscribe to their viewpoints. “It’s fascism,” Francis said. “You’ve got to walk in lockstep and think the same thing, or there is something evil or immoral or insane about you.” Democratic panelist Jessica Tarlov pushed back on that characterization — saying while she disagrees with critics who’ve called West crazy, there are objections to be made on the substance of the rapper’s political comments. Trish Regan got Continue reading "Outnumbered Cries ‘Fascism’ Over Trump-Kanye Summit Criticism: Media Has a ‘Holier-Than-Thou’ Attitude"

Worst Reporter in D.C. Deletes Terrible and False Tweet Boasting About Kanye West Being ‘Born Impoverished’

Washington, D.C.’s resident Yahoo Answers plagiarizer Benny Johnson, now inexplicably employed at the Daily Caller to put red circles on photos, tweeted a wrong and apparently racist tweet while defending rapper and Donald Trump supporter Kanye West. “A black man, born impoverished & into a broken home, works his way into a multimillionaire global pop star, fashion guru & cultural icon,” the Daily Caller reporter tweeted, before writing that liberals call West “mentally ill,” a “token negro,” say he “can’t read,” and “attack his dead mother,” all because West “dares think politically” and meet Trump. Anyone who actually knows as much about West’s career as Johnson pretends to knows that the rapper was not born in poverty. West was born middle class to two parents who had careers. They divorced when West was a small child, but his mother — an English college professor and his

As part of a View discussion on the summit between Kanye West and President Donald Trump, the panel expressed concern over the rapper’s mental condition. Meghan McCain began by talking about her grief over the death of her father, John McCain — saying she feels compassion for West as it seems to her that West can’t rely upon a support group like she has to help her cope. “I don’t want my father’s death ever to be a crutch for bad behavior,” McCain said. “It’s a really hard thing to talk about and it’s a really hard thing to open up to, but when I came back on the show I knew it would be important because there are other people who have lost parents and I do wonder, like you said, where is the love and support in his life to not let him get manic.” Abby Continue reading "The View Laments Trump ‘Using’ Mentally Unstable Kanye West: It’s a ‘Public Cry for Help’… And No One’s Helping"

Abby Huntsman Hits White House For Timing of Kanye Visit: People Are ‘Fighting For Their Lives’ in Florida

This post is by Josh Feldman from Mediaite

The hosts of The View today tackled the whole Kanye West-at-the-White-House thing and whether it was a good idea in the first place. Abby Huntsman criticized the White House for the bad timing of this surreal moment:
“The timing was certainly off, right? Because you have people that are fighting for their lives… in Florida and Georgia and other parts of this country. And also the stock market was plunging. So it just––it didn’t feel right.”
She was bothered by the “lack of substance” at the event when the issue of prison reform is an actually serious one, while adding she was also bothered by the “media hysteria” surrounding the event, with people in the media “piling on” to see who had the most over-the-top reactions. Guest host Yvette Nicole Brown said she was “saddened” by what happened yesterday, arguing, “My main issue was no one stopped it. Kanye’s Wildly Meaningless White House ‘Hit’ Propels Empty News Cycle Based on Nothing

The splash from Kanye West’s visit to the White House yesterday continues to make media waves. But a close examination about nearly every single part of his story reveals that it is based on absolutely zero substance, and the American public is left all wet. For readers who have been blissfully in a coma the last 24 hours, the musical-cum-fashion impresario was invited for lunch by President Donald Trump, who appeared to call an audible by inviting a press gaggle into the Oval Office. The self-professed genius then went on what can be charitably described as a frenetic, nonsensical stream-of-consciousness ramble about…well, stuff. Kanye is among the most famous figures in the worlds of hip-hop, fashion and “celebreality,” and presents a rare commodity for Trump: a black celebrity supporter. At least that appears to be the White House’s incentive to arrange the bizarre television moment. It is true that Kanye Continue reading "Kanye’s Wildly Meaningless White House ‘Hit’ Propels Empty News Cycle Based on Nothing"
